Taken in by a modern girl named Song Yao, he is astonished to discover in the new city that China has won the war and the land is now at peace. In the end, he completes a spirit journey across time at the Tan Kah Kee Memorial Hall and the Memorial Monument to Overseas Chinese Mechanics Who Died in the Line of Duty in Penang, Malaysia.

Sinopsis
In 1941, Lin Yaozu, a Nanyang overseas Chinese mechanic, was bombed on the Burma Road and transported to the modern city of 2025. His old-fashioned manner and strong patriotism caused misunderstandings, and he was taken in by Song Yao.
As Lin tells the stories of the overseas Chinese mechanics' fight against Japan, everyone comes to appreciate the heroic efforts of Tan Kah Kee and the overseas Chinese in saving their homeland.
When Lin learns that China has won the war, he is overcome with emotion. With Song Yao by his side, he visits the Tan Kah Kee Memorial Hall. There, he sees the farewell letters he had written and the monument to the unknown martyrs, remembering his fallen comrades and reliving the passionate devotion of the overseas Chinese.
This journey across time helps the youth of today remember the deeds of their predecessors and carry forward the undying spirit of patriotism.
