Resumen del episodio 5 de Sword Dynasty
> Resúmenes de Sword Dynasty
Zhangsun Qianxue visited the fish market, where the merchant's daughter greeted her as Miss Gongsun. Zhangsun Qianxue inquired if Bai Shanshui was negotiating for the Gushan Sword Manual. The merchant's daughter, knowing the dark past of the Gongsun family and her own, questioned Zhangsun Qianxue’s intentions, asking if she sought to overthrow the Kingdom of Heng or to exact revenge, reminding her of That Man's connection to the Gongsun family's downfall a decade ago.
Zhangsun Qianxue urged her not to sell any information to Bai Shanshui. The merchant's daughter clarified that she did not possess the information, but Bai Shanshui did and was unwilling to sell it to her. Meanwhile, Qi Pomo, military advisor of the Tiger and Wolf Army, discovered that Ding Ning, a Baiyang Cave disciple, returned to Wutongluo every night. General Liang Lian immediately ordered his assassination. Ding Ning's carriage suffered a breakdown, prompting him to disembark and continue on foot.
The driver, Zhou Sanxing, soon realized the damage was deliberate and suspected Ding Ning was in peril. He hurried after Ding Ning and arrived just in time to fend off assassins, ensuring both their escape, though Ding Ning sustained injuries and broke two ribs. Ding Ning thanked Zhou Sanxing for saving his life, feeling indebted.
Recognizing the powerful forces at play, Ding Ning asked Zhou Sanxing to report to Wang Taixu and advise Liangcenglou not to intervene in the night's events if no other incidents occurred, to avoid alerting their powerful enemy. He also cautioned Zhou Sanxing to keep his own involvement a secret.
Liang Lian was enraged to learn of Ding Ning and Wang Taixu's escape and vowed that Wang Taixu must die within three days, threatening severe consequences for his subordinates if they failed. Unbeknownst to them, Wang Taixu himself had been ambushed at Liangcenglou by Duan Zhiqiu, but managed to escape using a cleverly concealed mechanism he had prepared earlier.
Back at the wine shop, Zhangsun Qianxue, who had just been confronted by Bai Shanshui regarding her true allegiances and asked to prove her identity, concealed her own troubles to avoid burdening the wounded Ding Ning while she bandaged his ribs. Ding Ning speculated that the masked assassin was a military practitioner who, despite his skill, intentionally avoided serious injury and seemed eager to escape, suggesting a person of significant status within the military.
He worried about Wang Taixu, fearing the attack was connected to Jinlintang’s powerful backer. At Liangcenglou, Wang Taixu received news of heavy casualties and attacks on various outposts. After hearing Ding Ning's message relayed by Zhou Sanxing, Wang Taixu ordered his surviving followers to disperse and hide, deciding to flee the city himself.
Xue Wangxu, the head of Baiyang Cave, was informed that Ding Ning, despite suffering two broken ribs, had, with the help of Zhou Sanxing, a practitioner only in the Qi-refining Realm, managed to kill a True Vitality Realm assassin. Deeply impressed by Ding Ning's bravery and skill, Xue Wangxu, pleased with his disciple's actions, decided to end his seclusion and travel to Fengming.
Concurrently, Director Ye Celeng investigated the assassins' bodies at Wutongluo, identifying Tiger and Wolf Army tattoos, which unequivocally linked Liang Lian to the attack. As Wang Taixu, injured and seeking refuge, attempted to leave Fengming hidden in Ding Ning’s carriage, Duan Zhiqiu, the Chief of the Gate Guardsmen, intercepted them. Duan Zhiqiu dismissed a document from the Shendu Bureau and insisted on a search.
Wang Taixu recognized Duan Zhiqiu as one of his previous attackers from the night before, noting his cultivation had reached the fifth realm. At this critical moment, Xue Wangxu descended from the sky, deploying his Mountain-moving Realm power, astonishing Duan Zhiqiu and his soldiers and securing Wang Taixu and Ding Ning's passage. Back at Baiyang Cave, Xue Wangxu praised Ding Ning again and offered Wang Taixu a place to recuperate in his backyard for several days.
Later, Nangong Caishu approached Ding Ning, expressing her gratitude. She shared that his earlier guidance had accelerated her cultivation, and she anticipated breaking through to the third realm soon. Ding Ning, however, requested that she keep his role in her advancement a secret, even from her father and master.
He explained that rapid progress, combined with exceptional understanding and intuition for cultivation texts, would invite unwanted attention and exploitation, which he could not afford given his urgent need to dedicate all his time to cultivation. Nangong Caishu, understanding, swore to keep his secret. General Liang Lian then went to Queen Ye Zhen, who sternly criticized his crude methods in attempting to seize Liangcenglou and eliminate Ding Ning.
Ye Zhen pointed out that his reckless actions had unnecessarily alarmed Xue Wangxu, reminding Liang Lian of Xue Wangxu’s formidable power. She warned him that such "unnecessary mistakes" would create opportunities for his rivals and could jeopardize his aspirations for a marquis title, as there were other candidates. Liang Lian admitted his fault and sought Ye Zhen's help in securing his marquis title, pledging his full obedience.
Ye Zhen instructed him that he must first prove his innocence, particularly concerning the deaths of Marquis Dugu and Song Shenshu, cases that Ye Celeng was actively investigating and that could easily implicate him, as Liang Lian was once That Man's driver and close to him. Following this, Ye Celeng confronted Liang Lian in the street, accusing him of the murders of Song Shenshu and Marquis Dugu, stating that the killings bore the hallmarks of That Man’s martial arts.
Liang Lian retorted that if suspicion was based solely on shared martial arts, then Ye Celeng, who also followed That Man, would be equally suspect. He further asserted that the Nine-death Silkworm had no successor. Chen Xuan intervened to stop their public altercation, reminding them that their display was unbefitting.
Ye Celeng declared her unwavering loyalty to the Kingdom of Heng, in contrast to Liang Lian’s ambition for a marquis title, and pressed him about the seven corpses found at Wutongluo, implying they were his men involved in the martial arts world. Chen Xuan, identifying Ye Celeng’s personal vendetta and recognizing her inability to refute his questioning, discreetly sent Liang Lian away and then admonished Ye Celeng for mixing personal revenge with official duties.
Unable to counter Chen Xuan’s accusation, Ye Celeng departed in a fury. Meanwhile, King Yuanwu achieved a breakthrough, successfully advancing into the eighth realm, known as the Heaven-opening Realm. Chancellor Li and other ministers promptly gathered outside his chambers to offer their congratulations. Yuanwu then sought out Queen Ye Zhen in her palace, asking her if it was truly possible for anyone in the world to cultivate to the ninth realm and achieve immortality.
