After her father falls gravely ill, tea artist Ye Zao (Emily Young) is forced into marriage with Yan Zhao (Alexander Grant), the notorious "Living King of Hell" of the capital. Everyone waits to see her thrown out of the family, never knowing that Ye Zao possesses the ability to read minds.
Beneath Yan Zhao's cold and intimidating exterior, she hears the tenderness he hides and sees through every harsh word and stubborn obsession. In return, Yan Zhao fiercely protects her whenever she is wronged—sending bullies flying with a punch, smashing up the old family estate, and standing by his wife without hesitation.
What begins as a forced marriage gradually turns into love: a sweet "little rabbit" and a lonely "big bad wolf" finding healing and redemption in each other.
