Despite repeated meows, he insisted she was tired and hallucinating, swiftly ushering her to her room. The next morning, An Chuxia proudly presented Han Qilu with a breakfast she had cooked. He jokingly mentioned checking his life insurance for poison, but after tasting it, declared it good and urged her to try. An Chuxia, however, found it awful. Han Qilu laughed and left for school.
At school, An Chuxia and Han Qilu walked hand-in-hand, but faced relentless gossip about the Han family's financial difficulties and speculations of bankruptcy, with An Chuxia being labeled a jinx.
