Xu Rulin, a calm and rational prosecutor, reunites in court with his former apprentice Luo Xun, now a lawyer who challenges him head-on, turning their master-apprentice relationship into a rivalry between equally matched opponents.
Three years ago, due to an old case, Luo Xun left the prosecutor's office. She returns with a clear goal: to defeat Xu Rulin. Xu Rulin calmly accepts the challenge, and the two face off repeatedly.
