Sinopsis
Detective Xu Jingzhi becomes entangled in doubts over an old case, leading him to voluntarily leave the force for further studies. Ten years later, believing he has let go of his past, he returns to the front lines and joins the First Criminal Division led by his ex-wife, He Ya.
However, the new cases are intricately connected and bafflingly difficult to investigate. Xu Jingzhi discovers that the mastermind behind these crimes, Zhuang Mingcheng, is actually the "deceased" son of his old acquaintance—his "younger brother," Lu Ran.
Xu Jingzhi turns the tables, leveraging the trust of his superiors and comrades to infiltrate the criminal organization while getting closer to Zhuang Mingcheng to prevent him from sinking deeper into darkness. As the two brothers with diverging paths clash through the cases, they must ultimately make their own choices.
