Qi Xia, a romance writer who has never been in love, has a one-night stand with Mu Beichen at a bar, then leaves him a note and flees.
However, they cross paths again when their work brings them together. Mu Beichen discovers that Qi Xia's "married" status is a lie, and the two fall into a flirtatious and ambiguous relationship.
Driven by jealousy, Shen Qianrou teams up with Jin Zhao to frame Qi Xia, leading to cyberbullying and even kidnapping.
To protect Qi Xia, Mu Beichen pretends to agree to an arranged marriage, only to expose the Fu family's crimes at the wedding, avenge his mother, and propose to Qi Xia in front of everyone.
After they marry, Jin Zhao runs Qi Xia over, causing her to lose her memory. In the end, Qi Xia regains her memory at the very bar where they first met, reuniting with Mu Beichen...
