Yuan Zhongxin candidly told Zhao Jian that he had personally witnessed Yuan Boqi leaving, which prompted him to enter the room. Inside, he found only Liang Zhu, who had been knocked unconscious by Yuan Boqi. Realizing the situation, Yuan Zhongxin had set a trap for Yuan Boqi, but to his surprise, Zhao Jian was the one caught. As Yuan Zhongxin was about to free Zhao Jian, Yuan Boqi arrived.

To prevent Zhao Jian from getting involved, Yuan Zhongxin decided to speak with Yuan Boqi alone. Zhao Jian, however, managed to cut her ropes with a knife and went to find Yuan Zhongxin. Yuan Zhongxin already knew that Yuan Boqi and Liang Zhu had been cooperating for some time. Yuan Boqi no longer concealed his actions, admitting he had secretly returned to Kaifeng earlier to inform Liang Zhu of everything, and they had agreed to seek revenge together.

Their arrival in Binzhou was unexpected by Section 7, and fearing detection, they staged a revenge act. Yuan Boqi now knew the person responsible for leaking the army map and was determined to assassinate Zhou Xuan, explaining that he had knocked Liang Zhu unconscious to avoid implicating him. Yuan Zhongxin understood Yuan Boqi's resolve to kill Zhou Xuan and intended to stop him. However, Yuan Boqi caught Yuan Zhongxin off guard and knocked him unconscious.

Zhao Jian, arriving to find Yuan Zhongxin, was also knocked out by Yuan Boqi. Yuan Boqi decided to take Yuan Zhongxin and Zhao Jian back to the military camp. He handed them over to his waiting guards, instructing them to handle them carefully. He falsely told the guards that Yuan Zhongxin and Zhao Jian had conspired against him for family properties, and that Yuan Zhongxin wanted to assassinate Zhou Xuan.

He also gave them an address to "Chengxi House" where Liang Zhu and Yuan Zhongxin's associates were, instructing the guards to bring them all back to the military camp. He emphasized that they should not be treated as prisoners as they were juveniles and hadn't committed a serious crime, only needing a lesson. While giving these instructions, a soldier informed Yuan Boqi that Zhou Xuan wished to see him regarding Qichuan village.

Yuan Boqi agreed to go, reiterating his orders for the careful treatment of Yuan Zhongxin and Zhao Jian. Meanwhile, Section 7 members were ambushed and assassinated by Xia military secret agents. Xue Ying managed to escape the encirclement, sustaining an arrow wound, while Wei Yanei and the others were drugged and confined in a dungeon. Xue Ying, severely injured, collapsed in front of Yuan Zhongxin and Zhao Jian, who were being transported by guards.

Yuan Zhongxin, quick-witted, persuaded the guards to take the three of them to Section 7's hideout, arguing that with Xia people involved, his testimony would be crucial. At the hideout, "Chengxi House," Wei Yanei and the others were nowhere to be found, but they discovered an arrow, confirming Xia's involvement.

Yuan Zhongxin pointed out a non-existent hidden mark on the arrow shaft to the confused guard, then used the arrow to hold the guard hostage, demanding their release, including Xue Ying. After their successful escape, Yuan Zhongxin, Zhao Jian, and Xue Ying regrouped. Xue Ying received medical treatment for his arrow wound at Prince Zhao's mansion, a location Yuan Zhongxin shrewdly led the Wuwei Army to, knowing they wouldn't dare raid it.

The three were determined to rescue Wei Yanei, Wang Kuan, and Xiao Jing. They theorized that the attack was orchestrated by Xia agents to avenge Qin Wuya. Suspecting Ding Er, the mastermind, had no personal hideout in Binzhou, Zhao Jian began investigating Qin Wuya's various properties, believing the captives would be hidden there. Unbeknownst to them, all of Section 7's actions were anticipated by Ding Er.

Having received intelligence that Zhao Jian was investigating Qin Wuya's properties, Ding Er prepared to ensnare and eliminate Section 7 entirely that very night. Yuan Zhongxin, Zhao Jian, and Xue Ying proceeded to rescue the Section 7 members. As they navigated Qin Wuya's properties, Ding Er's scheme unfolded, separating the three. Ding Er ambushed and knocked out the isolated Zhao Jian.

He then intentionally allowed Yuan Zhongxin and Xue Ying to find the other Section 7 members, planning to set the building ablaze and eliminate them all. However, Yuan Zhongxin, ever resourceful, had anticipated such a trap. Before arriving, he had strategically left clues, leading the Wuwei Army directly to their location. Unaware of Ding Er's true intentions, the Wuwei Army stumbled upon the scene, inadvertently rescuing Yuan Zhongxin and his companions from the inferno.

Observing the dead assassins, Yuan Zhongxin noted their lack of wounds, suggesting they had committed suicide by poison, a hallmark of skilled secret agents. As Yuan Zhongxin, Xue Ying, Wang Kuan, and Xiao Jing recovered, they wondered about Zhao Jian's whereabouts. Zhao Jian, meanwhile, woke up next to Ding Er. He revealed a token belonging to Prince Zhao, threatening her to ensure his own safety.

After she reunited with Section 7, Yuan Zhongxin, seeing Zhao Jian safe, made a public confession of his feelings for her, expressing his desire for her to accompany him through all future challenges. Zhao Jian, embracing him tightly, affirmed her commitment to face any hardship by his side. Yuan Zhongxin then brought up Ding Er's demand for Yuan Boqi to kill Zhou Xuan at Qichuan village.

He argued that Ding Er's motive could not be merely the assassination of Zhou Xuan. Zhao Jian reminded him that Qichuan village was a border area guarded by soldiers from both Song and Xia. This crucial detail led Yuan Zhongxin to understand Ding Er's true objective: to have Zhou Xuan assassinated, frame the Xia border army for the death, and thereby incite a war between Song and Xia.

This war would allow Ding Er to regain military power and aid Ninglingge in seizing the Xia throne. Recognizing that Ding Er had meticulously planned this, Yuan Zhongxin convinced the Wuwei Army general of the impending national disaster. Despite the general's initial skepticism, Yuan Zhongxin passionately argued that failing to act could lead to a catastrophic war, making the general a national sinner.

Convinced, the general agreed to mobilize all available troops and head to Qichuan village, although they all feared they might not arrive in time, especially as Instructor Liang had not yet delivered the letter to Kaifeng. At the same time, Ding Er received news that the attempt to eliminate Section 7 had failed due to Yuan Zhongxin's clever use of the Wuwei Army.

Realizing that Section 7 would undoubtedly rush to Qichuan village to thwart his plans, Ding Er ordered his forces to advance at full speed towards Qichuan village. At the Qichuan village sacrificial ground, Zhou Xuan presided over a memorial ceremony. Yuan Boqi was surprised to see Liang Zhu also present, who declared his intent to personally avenge his brother, having easily escaped the military camp.

Yuan Boqi then confronted Zhou Xuan, presenting a secret letter sent to Xia and demanding he atone for the nine thousand lives lost. Zhou Xuan expressed shock, claiming he had never seen such a letter and swore his innocence, stating he would never betray the Song army. Both Yuan Boqi and Liang Zhu disbelieved him and prepared to kill Zhou Xuan. Just in time, Yuan Zhongxin arrived, quickly followed by the rest of Section 7 and the Wuwei Army.

Yuan Zhongxin urgently informed Yuan Boqi that everything was Ding Er's intricate scheme, and even if Zhou Xuan were truly a traitor, killing him at Qichuan village was precisely what Ding Er wanted. He warned that if Ding Er's forces arrived and slaughtered them, then blamed the Xia border army, it would undoubtedly ignite a war between Song and Xia. Yuan Boqi wavered, but Liang Zhu was reluctant to let this opportunity slip away.

To everyone's surprise, Zhou Xuan proactively disarmed himself, reiterating his innocence. He pleaded with them to first leave Qichuan village to deny Ding Er any pretext for war, offering to submit to their judgment once they were safely away. Yuan Boqi, after consideration, agreed to Zhou Xuan's proposal.
