Tie Shou is ordered to investigate the fake copper coins, taking Ling Yiyi to the Money Mint Bureau to gather clues. Despite the danger, Ling Yiyi secretly sneaks in, but is accidentally discovered and unexpectedly kills someone with her poison palm. Tie Shou arrives and takes her away, scolding her for her risky actions.
He realizes her poison palm has grown more powerful, confirming she defied his advice to abandon poison and continued her practice, which deeply disappoints and angers him. Feeling the growing distance between them, Ling Yiyi decides she can no longer remain by Tie Shou's side, resolves to leave him, and asks him not to search for her.
Meanwhile, Yu Chuntong comes to the Money Mint Bureau to arrest Wang Shijie, attempting to frame him for manufacturing the fake currency and forcing a confession, even presenting a basket of fake coins as evidence. Wang Shijie, an upright man, refuses to admit guilt. Wu Qing and Tie Shou investigate Wang Shijie's residence and learn that Yu Chuntong has indeed framed him and subjected him to torture to reveal the mastermind.
With the Shenhou Mansion sealed and Six Doors now under An Shigeng's control, An Shigeng also pressures Wang Shijie to confess, leading Zhuge Zhengwo to realize that An Shigeng's true objective is to eliminate the popular Prince Zhu. After leaving Tie Shou, Ling Yiyi immediately encounters Yuan Buxie, who forcibly takes her away.
Yuan Buxie, having re-established the Five Poisons Sect after Wen Ruyu's death, intends to capture Ling Yiyi and train her into a 'Poison Demon Immortal' for his own use. He imprisons her in a secret chamber, filling it with hundreds of snakes, ants, and various poisonous insects. His plan is for these poisons to bite her for forty-nine days to complete her transformation. Trapped and terrified, Ling Yiyi witnesses a golden silkworm appear.
This golden silkworm poisons and kills all the other insects. The golden silkworm then crawls towards her, and despite her pleas for it to stay away, it flies onto her body and enters her body, causing her entire body to rapidly turn golden before she collapses. In other events, Leng Xue and Chu Limo return to the capital, intending to visit the Ji Mansion to see if Ji Yaohua has returned, but Zhui Ming intercepts them.
