The Demon Master Episode 6 Recap
> The Demon Master Recap
Li Shendong confessed his feelings to An Chuxia, declaring he would protect her from that day forward. Han Qilu, witnessing this, confronted Li Shendong, asking if he had sought permission to express such feelings. Li Shendong retorted that he never needed anyone's permission to do what he wanted, to which Han Qilu vehemently responded that he hated it and did not want him to do it.
Growing impatient with their argument, An Chuxia interrupted, questioning if either of them had asked for her opinion. She stated that if they wished to continue their bickering, she would leave, and as she walked away, she told them not to follow her. She decisively rejected both of them. The news of Han Qilu and Li Shendong having a major fight over An Chuxia, which landed them both in the infirmary, quickly spread throughout the school.
Nangong Yin and Bai Qiuzi discussed the matter. A friend of Nangong Yin commented on how An Chuxia rejected both "greatest hunks," calling her a "devil" with many tricks. Bai Qiuzi, admitting she had misjudged An Chuxia, who she initially thought was "ugly and stupid," agreed that An Chuxia was "bad to the core" and found the situation infuriating. Han Qilu later visited Bai Qiuzi. She excitedly assumed he was there for her, believing he still harbored feelings.
However, Han Qilu immediately asked about An Chuxia. He then warned Bai Qiuzi that while he did not care about minor squabbles among girls, if An Chuxia were to be harmed again, especially after her recent ankle sprain, she would face severe consequences. Bai Qiuzi remained silent, though she was very angry internally. Meanwhile, Feng Shao, Kou Yi, and Li Shendong discussed the upcoming singles ball.
Kou Yi questioned why they needed to attend, complaining about the number of girls chasing them. Feng Shao explained that this time it was different, suggesting that since Han Qilu was merely a "nerd" with few talents, Li Shendong, with his dazzling performance, could easily win over An Chuxia, making her "immediately discard Han Qilu and embrace" him. Li Shendong then fantasized about An Chuxia confessing her love to him and agreed to the plan.
Han Qilu's mother received a call from the English school, confirming that Qilu had not enrolled. She wondered if he had truly gone to Sheng De College to find An Chuxia. Her housekeeper playfully suggested that she might be expecting grandchildren soon, implying a developing relationship between Han Qilu and An Chuxia. Elsewhere, Bai Qiuzi was seen aggressively practicing judo with Feng Shao. She hit him hard, telling him, "Blame it on you being An Chuxia's friend."
Feng Shao, in pain, asked what was wrong with An Chuxia. Bai Qiuzi angrily told him not to mention An Chuxia again. Feng Shao backed down, saying he would not, and begged her to let go. After she released him, he jokingly said she should not think he could not beat her. She challenged him to another round, but he refused, calling her a "nutcase" and claiming he was going to find An Chuxia. Bai Qiuzi called him a "coward."
Later, An Chuxia discovered her "Swan Lake" dance dress was torn and realized her situation was dire. Feng Shao found her, asking why she was not yet at the auditorium for her performance. She assured him she was almost ready. He noticed her injury and asked what happened, to which she explained it was the "crazy judo club woman," Bai Qiuzi. Feng Shao offered to help her switch clubs, but An Chuxia declined, stating she found the practice beneficial.
An Chuxia suspected Feng Shao was falling for Bai Qiuzi, but he denied it and urged her to hurry, reminding her to be careful. At the singles ball, An Chuxia was announced to perform "Swan Lake." People in the audience wondered why she had not appeared, speculating she was too scared. When she finally appeared, wearing a self-made dress, the audience mocked her attire and questioned if she was a "swan" or a "sparrow."
However, some students were impressed by her handmade dress, thinking it was a custom design, and expressed a desire to buy one. A friend in the audience cheered her on as An Chuxia performed her dance. As An Chuxia finished, Han Qilu appeared on stage and played a piano piece titled "Swan." Some of Li Shendong's friends were surprised, having previously dismissed Han Qilu as a "nerd."
Han Qilu explained that people only see the outer beauty of a swan but overlook its representation of loyal love. He then dedicated the piece to "the true swan in my heart," looking directly at An Chuxia. The audience was touched. After his performance, Han Qilu invited An Chuxia to dance, calling her "my Miss Swan." Li Shendong quickly stepped forward to also ask An Chuxia to dance.
Han Qilu intervened, stating, "My Chuxia doesn't need to choose," and gently pulled her away to dance with him. Li Shendong then danced with another girl. Observing Han Qilu and An Chuxia dancing together, both Li Shendong and Bai Qiuzi looked disheartened. Later, Bai Qiuzi found Feng Shao, who was working at a street food stall. She asked him what he was doing there, and he explained it was his part-time job.
He mentioned seeing Bai Qiuzi leave the ball looking sad. Li Shendong then joined Bai Qiuzi at the stall. Bai Qiuzi introduced Feng Shao as her "defeated opponent from judo club," to which Feng Shao clarified he "held back because she's a girl," and then acknowledged Li Shendong as the leader of "Sheng De's famous group of four." Feng Shao, as the boss, took their order for 50 skewers. Bai Qiuzi, who had never eaten street food, was intrigued.
As they ate and drank, Bai Qiuzi, clearly inebriated, listed two things that could satisfy her: skewers and Han Qilu. Li Shendong, also drunk, echoed her negative sentiments about Han Qilu, agreeing that "Han Qilu is not a good person." They continued to drink, expressing their unhappiness. Back at the ball, an announcement encouraged male guests to invite their chosen ladies to dance.
A man approached An Chuxia, addressing her as "number 9" and asking if she had forgotten him, accusing her of acting like she did not know him because she was now with a "sugar daddy." An Chuxia denied knowing him, but the man continued, claiming she used to work as a "footbath girl" at a footbath center and that he was a frequent customer.
He added that she was now "dating two men at the same time," "getting her hands on Han Qilu," and "fooling around with Li Shendong." Nangong Yin and her friend stood by, seemingly encouraging the accusations. Nangong Yin commented that while it was not shameful, it was "rare in Sheng De University," implying it was still frowned upon, and urged An Chuxia to "admit it."
The man continued to insult An Chuxia, calling her an "ugly duckling" instead of a "white swan." He then questioned why she did not like him, asking what Han Qilu had that he did not. Nangong Yin's friend then criticized An Chuxia, calling her a "joke" and an "insult to Sheng De's bloodline." An Chuxia's friend, Ming Yuan, tried to defend her, asking the man for proof.
Nangong Yin intervened, criticizing Ming Yuan for defending An Chuxia and hinting that An Chuxia "hit on so many guys" and even "girls." She then offered a toast to An Chuxia, demanding she drink. Just then, Han Qilu arrived and confronted the man. When the man tried to slander An Chuxia again by calling her his "ex," Han Qilu firmly corrected him, stating, "Show some respect. She's my girlfriend."
Han Qilu argued that there was nothing shameful about working at a massage center, but it was shameful for people like the man, who lived off their parents' money, to mock others. He then revealed that An Chuxia and he lived in "another city" before coming to Sheng De, making it impossible for the man to have known her previously. Han Qilu accused the man of making a fool of himself with his poorly fabricated lies.
Realizing the man was lying, the crowd turned against him. The man then tried to implicate Nangong Yin, but Han Qilu silenced him. Nangong Yin's friend quickly stepped forward, defending Nangong Yin and admonishing the man for daring to call her by name. Security was called to escort the man out. After the incident, An Chuxia expressed her frustration to Han Qilu, acknowledging she knew others wanted to "mess with" her, but was unprepared for such "despicable" tactics.
She also asserted that she could have handled it herself if he had not intervened. Han Qilu, however, playfully scolded her for attending the singles ball when she "already had him." An Chuxia clarified that they were still in a "probation period." Han Qilu confidently stated she could not escape him. He then suggested they go eat because he was hungry. Han Qilu then took An Chuxia to a hotel room. She questioned why they were there. He told her she was "flirting around" even though she had him, and deserved to be "punished." He then pushed her onto the bed and turned off the lights.
