The Demon Master Episode 46 (Ending) Recap
> The Demon Master Recap
Han Qilu, finding everyone's lives dull, began spinning a tale about their future. In his story, many years later, everyone had found their happiness. Qin Qing and Bai Qiuzi were both pregnant, giving Li Shendong and Feng Shao ample opportunities to display their affection. An Chuxia watched, feeling a pang of envy. In this imagined future, Li Shendong, a good friend of An Chuxia, frequently flaunted his affection for Bai Qiuzi in front of her.
An Chuxia’s company successfully went public, and she became a renowned designer with assets over a hundred million. Yet, seeing others enjoy their happy family lives, she deeply regretted not having cherished Han Qilu. Without him, she felt like a lonely, older single woman, and her life had no meaning, even contemplating ending it. Everyone was displeased with Han Qilu's story.
An Chuxia was particularly annoyed, asserting that women could live full lives without men, and that if Han Qilu hadn't held her back, she would have reached the pinnacle of her life much sooner. Li Shendong chimed in, questioning the idea of Qin Qing marrying Feng Shao, a sentiment Qin Qing herself agreed with. Han Qilu defended his story, explaining that he had only intended to lighten the mood and offer a glimpse into future possibilities.
However, An Chuxia challenged him, proposing they see how their lives would unfold in reality if she didn't marry him. Their disagreement escalated, and despite Li Shendong's attempt to mediate by suggesting a game of werewolf, An Chuxia and Han Qilu left separately. Observing their constant bickering, Li Shendong and the others concluded that Han Qilu and An Chuxia were suffering from pre-wedding jitters, prone to arguments whenever their wedding was mentioned.
Qin Qing believed they were under a "wedding curse," implying their path to marriage would be fraught with disagreements. She noted that their first curse was fighting at crucial moments, a prediction that had already come true. Later, while discussing wedding plans, An Chuxia proposed a simple ceremony at their graduation, believing it would be a meaningful way to mark two significant life transitions simultaneously.
Han Qilu, however, envisioned a grand wedding abroad, insisting it shouldn't be overshadowed by a school event. Han Qilu’s Grandma and mother grew exasperated with their endless arguments. Han Qilu, despite An Chuxia having given in to his preference for a church wedding, surprisingly tried to reopen the discussion about the wedding location. An Chuxia met this with a firm declaration that the church was already decided.
In an attempt to surprise An Chuxia, Han Qilu hid the wedding ring in one of several cakes, but then couldn't remember which one. An Chuxia playfully chastised him for not hiding it in the cream like in idol dramas, leaving them to eat all the cakes to find it. They both later declared their aversion to "cake weddings." The "wedding curse" continued when An Chuxia's meticulously designed wedding dress was unexpectedly damaged during a playful moment with Han Qilu.
She had to spend a great deal of effort repairing it, vowing that nothing else should go wrong. As the graduation day approached, their friends, including Qin Qing and Li Shendong, gathered, assuming Han Qilu and An Chuxia wouldn't attend the ceremony, believing they were at the church preparing for their wedding. However, Han Qilu unexpectedly appeared at the school's graduation ceremony, much to everyone's surprise.
It turned out An Chuxia had agreed to Han Qilu's preferred church location, but he had mistakenly believed she still wanted the school. Without communicating their plans, Han Qilu went to the school, while An Chuxia waited at the church in her wedding dress. At the church, An Chuxia encountered an artist painting a black swan.
The artist explained that while white is associated with purity, black encompasses all colors, possessing a unique mystery and depth that could hide an even purer white. Inspired by this perspective, An Chuxia decided to modify her wedding dress, transforming it into a black gown. Meanwhile, after delivering his graduation speech, Han Qilu addressed the crowd, asking them to witness another important moment.
He publicly apologized to An Chuxia, admitting he had doubted her resolve to marry him and had failed to understand her feelings. He acknowledged that her happiness was paramount to his own and announced that he would give her the "fervent wedding" she desired at the school. However, Li Shendong quickly informed him that An Chuxia was at the church, not the school. Han Qilu and his friends immediately rushed towards the church.
Stuck in traffic, Li Shendong tried calling An Chuxia but couldn't reach her, surmising she might believe Han Qilu had cold feet. Qin Qing, seeing the dire situation, warned Han Qilu that An Chuxia might leave and the wedding could be ruined, urging him to run. Han Qilu abandoned the car and sprinted to the church. Upon entering, he found his mother, Grandma, and other relatives and friends gathered. He then saw An Chuxia, radiant in her black wedding dress.
Fearing further delays, he swept her into his arms and carried her towards the priest. Just as they reached the altar, a booming voice interrupted. Everyone initially thought it was the ultimate test for the couple, but it was An Chuxia's father, Jiang He. He gently chided Han Qilu for carrying his daughter before she had been given away, then asked for understanding of a father's feelings before formally entrusting An Chuxia to Han Qilu. The wedding ceremony then proceeded.
After exchanging heartfelt vows of eternal love and commitment, Han Qilu and An Chuxia shared a sweet kiss. He then asked her about the black wedding dress. An Chuxia smiled, explaining that black is the color of the demon, symbolizing her unique and unparalleled love for him.
