An Chuxia was thrilled to learn that the headquarters of a wedding dress company had praised her designs and offered investment for her to establish her own brand. Becoming a designer had always been her dream, and this news strengthened her resolve to build her career.

However, when she returned home, Han Qilu's Grandma had already prepared a wedding dress and demanded that Han Qilu and An Chuxia marry as soon as possible, with An Chuxia settling down as a wife and mother after marriage. An Chuxia hesitated, explaining that she wanted to establish her career first. Grandma expressed her confusion, asking why An Chuxia, who was "crying and screaming to marry Qilu" before, now refused.

An Chuxia tried to clarify her desire to develop her brand with the new investment. Grandma dismissed this, stating that the Han family had no shortage of businesses and questioned who would care for Han Qilu if An Chuxia was busy. Before An Chuxia could fully object, Han Qilu interjected, deciding for her, assuring Grandma that they respected her decision. Grandma was pleased that things were settled and suggested they discuss wedding plans.

Han Qilu later tried to talk to An Chuxia privately, asking her not to speak to avoid another argument. He understood her thoughts but suggested she couldn't immediately convince Grandma. He proposed a "plot this through" strategy, asserting that marriage wasn't the end of her career and she could continue her dreams while gradually getting Grandma to accept. An Chuxia firmly rejected this, stating she couldn't marry him based on a lie and that Grandma needed to truly accept her.

She felt like a shadow, always having to follow his lead, emphasizing her own life and dreams, and wishing he would understand. Han Qilu, frustrated, conceded, and An Chuxia told him she would not resort to deceit. An Chuxia began avoiding Han Qilu by claiming she was working overtime at her studio, unwilling to discuss marriage.

Han Qilu, noticing her posting on social media about her studio and realizing she wasn't as busy as she claimed, went to her studio late one night. He confronted her, stating he knew she was avoiding him and insisting they talk things out, asking if she truly didn't want to marry him. An Chuxia, feeling exhausted, refused to discuss it at that moment. Han Qilu, however, declared that escaping was futile and they would eventually have to face the issue.

At her studio, An Chuxia was busy refining a wedding dress, which she intended as the finale for her brand's opening ceremony, hoping it would be a striking success. Meanwhile, seeing An Chuxia's demanding work schedule, Han Qilu decided to cook for her. He struggled to follow a recipe for scrambled eggs with tomatoes. His Grandma saw his attempt, mistook the dish for "fried watermelon," and was speechless at his culinary skills.

She questioned why he was cooking instead of An Chuxia, asking where An Chuxia was and whether she was avoiding her. Han Qilu brushed off Grandma's suspicions, claiming he was merely craving food. During a Taekwondo competition, Bai Qiuzi confidently told Feng Shao that his opponent was a "weakling." Before the match, an opponent offered Feng Shao a significant sum of money to intentionally lose, a proposition Feng Shao rejected.

He then easily won the match, delighting Bai Qiuzi, who praised his final move and offered to treat him to dinner. However, the boss who had offered the bribe retaliated. Thugs ambushed Feng Shao and Bai Qiuzi, beating them both. Bai Xue, witnessing their disheveled state, severely reprimanded Feng Shao, blaming him for getting Bai Qiuzi into trouble.

She reiterated that they belonged to different worlds and warned him to stay away from Bai Qiuzi, suggesting that discovering Bai Qiuzi's identity could lead to kidnapping, which would be more profitable than betting on fights. Bai Qiuzi, despite her injuries, tried to reassure Feng Shao that she was fine and found the experience "really fun" before Bai Xue pulled her into a car.

Separately, Qin Qing attempted to hypnotize Li Shendong to uncover his secrets, as part of an exercise to improve his "acting" for werewolf games. After initially resisting and claiming he had no secrets, Li Shendong, under hypnosis, began to reveal, "My secret is that I love. . ." but his words became inaudible before he could finish. Later, Han Qilu found Li Shendong in the library, in a trance, near a book titled "An Actor Prepares."

Han Qilu explained he had woken Li Shendong from a hypnotic state. Li Shendong was disoriented, recalling only being with Qin Qing at the TOP base. Han Qilu suggested Li Shendong's subconscious might have led him to the book, or that he secretly wished to be a "house husband." Li Shendong offered to teach Han Qilu how to cook, but Han Qilu declined, preferring a "rigorous studying method" from books. Han Qilu then decided to cook for An Chuxia again.

He intercepted a delivery person outside An Chuxia's studio, offering to deliver her takeout himself. An Chuxia and her colleagues received the food, but were dismayed to find scrambled eggs with tomatoes instead of the braised beef brisket with tomato she had ordered. They deemed the food unpalatable, took a photo, and decided to leave a bad review.

Han Qilu, who was waiting outside, heard the commotion and misinterpreted it as them enjoying his cooking, deciding to wait for An Chuxia to finish work. Meanwhile, Li Shendong, intending to deliver breakfast to An Chuxia, found himself inexplicably at Qin Qing's doorstep, attributing it to the "doings of ghosts and gods." Qin Qing, who was jogging, greeted him. Seeing the bento, she was pleased and remarked that she knew Li Shendong's secret, claiming he had told her while hypnotized.

Li Shendong, still perplexed, believed he had only told her he wanted to make her breakfast. Qin Qing dismissed his confusion, promising to keep his secret, and thanked him for the food, leaving him thoroughly bewildered about what he had actually revealed. Later, the infuriated takeout vendor, a former butcher, stormed into An Chuxia's studio, demanding she retract her negative review, accusing her of fabricating the complaint since the evidence (the bad food) had been discarded.

The vendor threatened them, and as she was about to throw a cup of coffee at An Chuxia's precious wedding dress design, Han Qilu suddenly appeared, shielding the dress and getting drenched in coffee himself. An Chuxia, grateful for his quick action, expressed relief that her dress was unharmed, but she urged him not to be too kind, believing the vendor was dishonest. Han Qilu almost admitted to swapping the food but hesitated.

An Chuxia, thinking he was simply too kind-hearted, failed to grasp the true situation. Han Qilu's Grandma, determined to see them married, announced that she had consulted a fortune teller and declared the very next day to be the best for their wedding. An Chuxia attempted to speak with Grandma privately, but Han Qilu swiftly intervened, cutting her off and enthusiastically suggesting they immediately go to try on wedding dresses.

Elsewhere, Bai Qiuzi found Feng Shao working tirelessly on the street to earn money. Her heart ached for him, and she reaffirmed her affection, holding his arm. She questioned why he kept pushing her away when he liked her too. Feng Shao gently reminded her of their different social standings and urged her to consider other men. Bai Qiuzi passionately declared that her love for him was enough.

She explained that his avoidance caused her sadness and sleepless nights, reinforcing that he also cared for her. She confessed that despite her privileged background, she felt she had nothing without him, telling him, "I only have you." She asked if he had never considered making her happy every single day. Feng Shao, conflicted, admitted he wanted to but doubted his ability to do so. Bai Qiuzi encouraged him to cast aside his doubts, promising that as long as they were together, they could face any future challenges.
