An Chuxia and Han Qilu awoke in bed together, both startled to find themselves embracing. Seeing red wine stains on the sheets, An Chuxia immediately concluded they had been intimate, furiously calling Han Qilu a "beast" and ordering him out of the room, despite his bewildered protests. Later, during a public class on "Yun-yu," which describes the process of pregnancy and nurturing life, An Chuxia was visibly nervous due to the red wine stains misunderstanding.

While talking with Li Shendong, who expressed that such a topic was natural and nothing to be embarrassed about, the teacher unexpectedly called on An Chuxia to explain the process of becoming pregnant. Overwhelmed and feeling unwell, An Chuxia excused herself to the restroom, where she vomited.

These episodes of vomiting, coupled with a sudden craving for sour oranges that even Li Shendong found unpalatable, led Qin Qing to dramatically suggest, based on common drama tropes, that An Chuxia must be pregnant. This only amplified An Chuxia's anxiety, prompting her to secretly research pregnancy symptoms in the library. There, An Chuxia was surprised by Han Qilu, who wanted to discuss their future.

He proposed they marry after graduation, or even immediately, envisioning a wedding at Maria Church and a design studio for her. However, when An Chuxia cautiously broached the topic of children, Han Qilu stated that while he liked them, it was too soon, as he didn't want a child to "steal" An Chuxia's affection. Troubled by his response, An Chuxia fled, accidentally dropping her pregnancy books. An Chuxia then went to the hospital for a check-up.

The doctor, mistakenly believing she was there for an abortion, began discussing different procedures. Suddenly, Han Qilu's Grandma burst in, angrily demanding who dared to harm their Han family's child. Grandma, having just returned and heard about the presumed pregnancy, accused An Chuxia of attempting to kill her great-grandson without permission. An Chuxia clarified she was merely seeking a check-up. Nevertheless, for the sake of her great-grandson, Grandma announced she would accept An Chuxia as her granddaughter-in-law, despite their youth.

Both An Chuxia and Han Qilu were overjoyed. Han Qilu, already excitedly imagining a son named Han Sian or a daughter named Han Aixia, suggested they go shopping for baby items, fantasizing about a happy family life in a supermarket. Han Qilu's joyful fantasy was abruptly shattered when An Chuxia found him in the supermarket, revealing that she was not pregnant, attributing the earlier misunderstanding to a faulty test.

Later, Han Qilu received a call from Grandma regarding a prenatal check-up, prompting him and An Chuxia to reluctantly decide to tell her the truth. At home, Grandma, who already suspected foul play when served what she knew was not genuine Feng Huang Shuixian Oolong Tea, was informed that An Chuxia was not pregnant.

Enraged, Grandma reverted to her old dismissive attitude, ordering An Chuxia to move out of the Han family home immediately and instructing Qin Qing to move in. Han Qilu staunchly declared that if An Chuxia left, he would leave with her. Seeing his unwavering resolve, and with Qin Qing speaking up on An Chuxia's behalf, Grandma reluctantly offered An Chuxia one more chance: a cooking competition against Qin Qing. An Chuxia eagerly accepted the challenge, determined to win.

Knowing An Chuxia's poor cooking skills, Han Qilu's mother secretly swapped An Chuxia’s dish with Qin Qing’s during the competition. During the judging, Han Qilu noted the unfairness of two judges, but Grandma insisted that Han Qilu, as the "husband," should make the final decision. Unaware of the swap, Han Qilu tasted a dish he found awful and confidently declared it must be An Chuxia's, thereby awarding victory to Qin Qing.

An Chuxia was astonished, pointing out the winning dish's terrible taste. Grandma then revealed Han Qilu's mother's deception. Acknowledging An Chuxia's determined spirit, Grandma offered her one final, unthemed challenge, stating that the only criterion for victory was her personal satisfaction. Following advice from Han Qilu's mother, An Chuxia worked tirelessly to secure a partnership between the Han family and a challenging company, a long-standing aspiration of Grandma's. After immense effort, An Chuxia successfully obtained a signed letter of intent.

She presented it to Grandma, who, despite An Chuxia's late arrival, took the document. When asked about her preparation, Qin Qing confidently stated she had prepared nothing, believing that since Grandma already liked her, nothing else was necessary. To everyone's surprise, Grandma declared An Chuxia the winner. However, she then immediately ordered An Chuxia to move out of the Han house, revealing that the entire competition was merely a demonstration.

Grandma bluntly stated that An Chuxia's success or failure was irrelevant, as Qin Qing was the only granddaughter-in-law she truly desired. Devastated, An Chuxia was consoled by Han Qilu, who defiantly told his Grandma that he didn't care who was a better match, only who he loved. As An Chuxia prepared to leave, Han Qilu vowed to leave with her, even suggesting they run away together.

An Chuxia, though touched, felt Grandma was too unyielding and that there was no longer a chance for them. Han Qilu reassured her, emphasizing that their love was a matter between them alone, and that he believed Grandma would eventually accept them if they lived a good life together, promising that he would never let go.
