Li Shendong was in a bad mood, playing games with friends but losing repeatedly. His friends teased him, saying, "Shendong, you're getting worse and worse. You just lost to me. Now you lose to Yuan Su." Feeling ganged up on, he retorted, "Why don't you just stop being friends with me?" After that incident, the school expelled Ming Yuan. An Chuxia knew Ming Yuan had framed her, but she didn't hate her.

An Chuxia had visited Ming Yuan a few times in the hospital, but Ming Yuan was in very bad shape, and they didn't talk much. Ming Yuan then disappeared without a trace, and people soon forgot about her, preoccupied with their own lives. An Chuxia found Li Shendong by himself, observing that he seemed down lately. She asked if something was bothering him.

Li Shendong confided that he felt like a failure, realizing he didn't understand himself and couldn't help his friend who was lost. An Chuxia gently told him, "You know, we are all worried about you. We prepared a game for you." Li Shendong was surprised. Following her suggestion to look back, he saw Han Qilu and others approaching with toy guns.

It turned out they had organized a "Rooftop Counter-Strike" game for him to vent, and Qin Qing was also participating. The instructor announced that Han Qilu would once again serve as the debate team captain for the upcoming international debate competition. Han Qilu expressed his preference for experiments over debates, but An Chuxia reminded him that he had never lost before.

Meanwhile, with Kou Yi's departure following Ming Yuan's expulsion, Sheng De's famous group of four was now down to three. They considered changing their name to "Sheng De's trio," but felt it lacked creativity as groups typically have four members. However, Qin Qing suddenly appeared and offered "a perfect solution," proposing to join the group to maintain their "idol group" status. The boys immediately rejected her, stating, "You are a girl."

Qin Qing accused them of sexism, but Li Shendong clarified that it was a "boy group," and adding a girl "isn't the way to go." Determined to join, Qin Qing went to great lengths, even disguising herself as a man. However, Li Shendong quickly saw through her act, mockingly asking if she was "playing at being a man." Undeterred, Qin Qing continued to pester An Chuxia and Han Qilu.

Li Shendong confronted her, asking what it would take for her to stay away from them. Qin Qing insisted, "I want to join the Sheng De's group of four." To get her to stop harassing Han Qilu, Li Shendong reluctantly agreed to let her join. Later, during the debate competition, Qin Qing publicly declared, "Han Qilu, you are so handsome!" Li Shendong immediately confronted her, reminding her of her promise to stay away from Han Qilu after joining their group.

Qin Qing claimed she was "very far away," frustrating Li Shendong. Feng Shao, observing Qin Qing's persistent pursuit of Han Qilu, chastised Li Shendong for his ineffective efforts. Li Shendong defended himself, explaining that Qin Qing was a "drama queen" and "knew right away that I was acting." Feng Shao then suggested a radical approach: "Take her for An Chuxia. Then your emotions will feel real."

Despite his discomfort, Li Shendong had no choice but to continue his pursuit of Qin Qing. Following Feng Shao's advice, Li Shendong continued his pursuit of Qin Qing, though reluctantly. He even tried riding a bicycle to impress her with his "environmental-friendly behavior," but Qin Qing saw through his efforts, stating he had "never learned how to ride a bike" and only "just learned it for you."

Later, during class, Li Shendong spoke on behalf of the female students, asserting that women "can still live a great life without a man," to which Qin Qing approved. Meanwhile, Han Qilu was burdened by the upcoming debate, feeling tired and worried about facing a "very strong overseas opponent." Their debate topic was "Can artificial intelligence surpass humans?" with Han Qilu on the opposing team arguing that it cannot.

However, he admitted to An Chuxia that "artificial intelligence will definitely surpass human wisdom," confessing that he couldn't even convince himself. An Chuxia encouraged him, then offered her own perspective. She argued that no matter how powerful AI becomes, "it has no way to produce human thinking, and human emotions." She added that it cannot "love another machine the way I love you," a statement that resonated deeply with Han Qilu, giving him a crucial insight for his argument.

Although Li Shendong was ostensibly pursuing Qin Qing, his actions lacked sincerity. Qin Qing, aware of his pretense, intercepted him in front of the classroom, observing, "You don't even like me." She challenged him for never having written her a love letter, demanding a "hand-writing" one. Relieved that it was just about a letter, Li Shendong spent the night diligently writing it.

When he presented the finished love letter, which concluded with a declaration of devotion, Qin Qing accepted it but then insisted he sing it to her. Despite his protests about being a bad singer, Qin Qing threatened to go bother Han Qilu if he refused. Li Shendong reluctantly agreed and sang a song, but he playfully modified the lyrics to tease Qin Qing about her looks, which led to another playful argument between them.

Feng Shao, witnessing their antics, commented that they were truly a "happy couple." Before the debate, An Chuxia prepared special chicken soup for Han Qilu and urged him to drink it. Yuan Yuan encouraged him, mentioning An Chuxia had gotten up at 4 AM to make it. Han Qilu obliged. Moments after he left, An Chuxia realized her diet tea bag was still in the soup, causing her great alarm.

During the free debate segment, the overseas debater cited AlphaGo's victory over Ke Jie as definitive proof that artificial intelligence could surpass humans. Han Qilu countered by questioning whether the robot could cry like Ke Jie did after a loss, arguing that AI lacked genuine human emotions. The debater dismissed this, stating that a program could simulate any emotion.

However, Han Qilu maintained that humans were the creators of these programs, and only humans possessed the capacity for true feelings like crying, laughing, and especially love. While delivering his argument, Han Qilu experienced sudden stomach discomfort, making An Chuxia worried her diet tea bag was causing trouble. Despite the unexpected issue, Han Qilu ultimately won the debate. To celebrate his victory, Han Qilu and An Chuxia shared red wine.

They both became quite drunk and ended up falling asleep in the same bed. The next morning, as they woke up, they noticed a red wine stain on the bedsheets. Both were startled, mistakenly believing the stain was evidence of having been intimate while intoxicated.
