Qin Qing, observing Li Shendong's persistent pursuit, recognized his efforts were aimed at An Chuxia. She mockingly suggested he was trying too hard, and inadvertently revealed that Han Qilu had been faking amnesia. An Chuxia, who happened to be nearby, overheard this surprising truth. Later, Han Qilu received alarming news that An Chuxia had been in an accident and was in a vegetative state. Terrified, he rushed to the hospital, where he encountered Li Shendong and their friends.

Unbeknownst to him, this entire scenario was An Chuxia's elaborate prank, conceived after she learned about his fabricated memory loss, to test his true feelings. At the hospital, Han Qilu found An Chuxia lying motionless in a bed. Believing she was truly unconscious, he poured out his heart, promising he would never be angry with her, call her stupid, or deny her anything if she would only wake up.

He also explained that he faked amnesia because An Chuxia had been too good to him, and he didn't want to lose that feeling of being doted on too quickly. He even declared he would be her personal "butler." As he counted to three, desperately urging her to awaken, An Chuxia, who had been listening intently, realized they had mistaken her for the actual vegetative patient in the next bed.

Touched by Han Qilu's heartfelt confession, the real vegetative patient miraculously stirred, clamoring to find his wife. Seeing this, An Chuxia instinctively sat up, inadvertently revealing her deception. Han Qilu was initially surprised but then understood the true situation. An Chuxia explained that she had merely been hit by a bicycle, gotten dizzy, and the misunderstanding arose from sharing a room with a real vegetative patient. Han Qilu then asked if his "butler" promise still stood.

An Chuxia tried to calm a seemingly upset Han Qilu, insisting she hadn't meant to embarrass him, and hadn't anticipated his intense reaction. However, Han Qilu, still visibly emotional, hugged her and apologized instead, acknowledging how heartbroken she must have felt when he faked amnesia for so long, compared to his few minutes of worry. An Chuxia graciously accepted his apology, suggesting they put the past behind them. Han Qilu, however, insisted on making it up to her.

An Chuxia playfully made him reiterate his "butler" promise, and she intended to keep a recording of his vow. Meanwhile, Li Shendong continued to pester Qin Qing to prevent her from approaching Han Qilu, and the two accidentally hugged, feeling awkward and worried An Chuxia and Han Qilu might see them. As Han Qilu and An Chuxia left the hospital, they ran into Li Shendong, who announced he was there to pick up Qin Qing.

An Chuxia was surprised by his pursuit, but Han Qilu approved of the match. Han Qilu, ever protective, made An Chuxia wear a helmet, playfully teasing her about her "fragile brain." Later, Li Shendong attempted to invite Qin Qing for dinner, but she challenged him to memorize the entire script of "Romeo and Juliet" first. Despite the daunting task, he agreed.

In class, Han Qilu and An Chuxia openly displayed their affection, much to the envy of others, especially Ming Yuan. Meanwhile, Li Shendong diligently practiced his lines in public, while Qin Qing continued her obsession with Han Qilu, even livestreaming his daily life to Han Qilu's Grandma in front of Bai Qiuzi to gain her support. Later, Ming Yuan secretly approached Han Qilu, confessing her enduring feelings and her struggle to forget him.

She presented him with a meticulously designed badge, expressing her wish for his happiness. However, Han Qilu, well aware of her past manipulations against An Chuxia, coldly rejected her. He declared his happiness was solely with An Chuxia, condemned her for betraying a friend, and called her "blessing" scarier than a curse, ultimately stating that her behavior was "disgusting."

Enraged and desperate, Ming Yuan then impulsively kissed Kou Yi and asked him for one last favor, promising to be with him if her final attempt to win Han Qilu failed. Shortly after, Ming Yuan called An Chuxia, feigning distress and urging her to meet. Though An Chuxia had been warned by Han Qilu to avoid Ming Yuan, she eventually agreed. When they met, Ming Yuan tearfully admitted her defeat, stating that Han Qilu still wouldn't accept her.

An Chuxia was astonished, realizing for the first time that Ming Yuan was in love with Han Qilu; she had always believed they were just close friends. Ming Yuan then confessed to all her past malicious actions, including orchestrating the breakup of An Chuxia's engagement and planning the attack in the swimming pool. She brazenly claimed An Chuxia's naivete was due to the many people protecting her, and that she had still managed to trick her into this meeting.

Ming Yuan declared her intention to make An Chuxia "step back on her own," but An Chuxia firmly stated that she and Han Qilu would never be separated. Ming Yuan then ominously asked if Han Qilu would still love An Chuxia if she became an "evildoer."

Stepping into the street, Ming Yuan revealed her final, twisted plan: Kou Yi, hidden nearby, would drive a black car into her, making it appear as though An Chuxia had pushed her into the road. As planned, Kou Yi drove the black car into Ming Yuan. He then rushed to her side, carrying her. An Chuxia watched everything unfold, stunned. Ming Yuan was hospitalized but fortunately was out of danger.

At the hospital, everyone gathered, but Han Qilu remained indifferent to Ming Yuan's condition. Kou Yi angrily confronted Han Qilu, blaming him for Ming Yuan's injuries. Han Qilu, however, remained indifferent, stating it was not his concern. Li Shendong pulled Kou Yi aside, trying to make him see that Ming Yuan was merely using him.

Kou Yi, however, defiantly responded that he had at least fought for his love, unlike Li Shendong, who couldn't even manage to be used by An Chuxia. He admitted Ming Yuan didn't love him but asserted he was content to be used. Li Shendong, seeing Kou Yi as a brother, pleaded with him to stop his self-destructive path, saying he couldn't just watch him make mistakes. Kou Yi, feeling misunderstood and believing Li Shendong didn't truly see him as a friend, walked away, disappointed.
