Meanwhile, a love letter broadcast over the school radio stirred up gossip among the students, with many girls spreading rumors about An Chuxia and Li Shendong. Bai Qiuzi, unable to tolerate the malicious talk, publicly reprimanded those speaking ill of An Chuxia.
Han Qilu and Li Shendong realized An Chuxia was missing when her phone was off. Han Qilu asked Ming Yuan if she had seen An Chuxia, but Ming Yuan lied, claiming she hadn't. An Chuxia firmly refuted his accusations, proclaiming her sincere love for Han Qilu and vowing never to leave him, even if he became poor or disabled.
Ouyang dismissed her words, claiming her love was worthless and promising to prove it. Han Qilu then received a message from Ouyang, instructing him to come alone to a specified location. To protect Han Qilu, An Chuxia tearfully shouted that she didn't love him and urged Ouyang to kill her and Han Qilu to leave. However, when Ouyang prepared to strike Han Qilu, An Chuxia bravely stepped in front of him, taking the blow herself. Just as Ouyang was stunned by An Chuxia's sacrifice, Li Shendong, recalling Ouyang's past words, arrived at the warehouse with his men, rescuing An Chuxia.
Seeing that the danger had passed, Han Qilu left a bewildered Ouyang, telling him to reclaim his family's enterprise through legitimate means, not despicable ones, and to confess his crime. Ouyang, realizing his mistake, later surrendered to the police. An Chuxia was taken to the hospital. Han Qilu stayed by her side, insisting on comprehensive physical and mental check-ups, joking about the strange love letter that had been broadcast.
An Chuxia joined Feng Shao for a meal later, where Feng Shao questioned her decision to let Han Qilu attend Ming Yuan's farewell dinner alone. Li Shendong also found Han Qilu and confessed his admiration for him, acknowledging Han Qilu's true love for An Chuxia. He declared their brotherhood, vowing to support Han Qilu in all matters. Meanwhile, Ming Yuan received an acceptance letter from the Florence Academy of Fine Arts.
She excitedly invited Han Qilu to dinner to celebrate her impending departure for Italy, expressing gratitude for his past help. Han Qilu initially declined, knowing Ming Yuan's feelings for him.
