The Demon Master Episode 11 Recap
> The Demon Master Recap
An Chuxia and Han Qilu rushed to the hospital after An Chuxia received a distressed call from Ming Yuan. They found Ming Yuan being stopped by a nurse because she couldn't pay her medical fees. The nurse was frustrated, treating the hospital like a charity and commenting on young girls trying to leave without paying. An Chuxia and Han Qilu paid Ming Yuan's fees, allowing them to take her home.
On the way back to the dorm, Ming Yuan thanked An Chuxia for her help but pleaded with her not to ask any questions about the incident and to keep it a secret. An Chuxia, understanding that Ming Yuan had her reasons, promised not to pry and offered to stay by her side, which comforted Ming Yuan deeply. During class, the professor announced the upcoming College English Test Band 4 (CET4) and warned that poor performance could lead to expulsion.
The professor then asked students with an IELTS score of seven or higher to raise their hands. An Chuxia was surprised to see almost everyone, except herself and Li Shendong, raise their hands. Nangong Yin smugly commented that Sheng De students received bilingual education from a young age, making the CET4 feel like an elementary school exam. An Chuxia, despite not having taken IELTS, felt confident in her English abilities and was not worried about the exam.
Li Shendong, however, was terrified of failing and being expelled. He attempted to enlist his friends' help to cheat during a mock exam using a high-tech device. An Chuxia discovered their plan and urged Li Shendong to stop. Though initially resistant, Li Shendong agreed, but expressed concerns about his long-standing poor English skills. Seeing his predicament, An Chuxia volunteered to tutor him, warning him that if he failed again, he would have to answer to her.
Li Shendong's progress was slow, frustrating him. An Chuxia encouraged him not to lose heart, reminding him that failure is the mother of success. Li Shendong lamented that he used to get nine out of ten questions wrong, to which An Chuxia optimistically pointed out that he now only got eight wrong. Han Qilu arrived, having first called An Chuxia to inquire about her whereabouts, and was visibly annoyed by the close interaction between An Chuxia and Li Shendong.
Li Shendong, noticing Han Qilu's jealousy, deliberately asked An Chuxia for help with another question. An Chuxia quickly explained to Han Qilu that Li Shendong faced expulsion if he failed the upcoming CET4, which appeased Han Qilu. Surprisingly, Han Qilu then offered to help tutor Li Shendong, criticizing An Chuxia's focus on vocabulary and suggesting a method that prioritizes problem-solving techniques.
Later, a drunk man caused a commotion at the entrance of Sheng De College, accusing a Sheng De student of assaulting him at a KTV after he got drunk. He brandished a Sheng De school badge as evidence of the student's identity and his own visible head wound. Han Qilu, who was present, was astonished by the accusation and instructed security to remove the man, dismissing him as a liar.
Despite this, the news of a Sheng De student working and getting into a fight at a KTV quickly spread throughout the school. An Chuxia speculated to Han Qilu that the student involved might be Ming Yuan, expressing concern about the situation and its potential implications for her friend. Han Qilu, in turn, advised An Chuxia to never overexert herself and promised to always protect her, no matter what happened.
During the CET4, Li Shendong was delighted to find that he recognized many questions from An Chuxia's mock tests. He completed the exam with ease, but his essay's structure and vocabulary were found to be 80% similar to An Chuxia's, leading the teacher to suspect him of cheating.
To prove his and An Chuxia's innocence, Li Shendong defiantly offered to retake the exam immediately under the teacher's supervision, stating his desire to prove his true abilities, emphasizing he had earned the score through his own effort. An Chuxia had previously given him an English textbook meant for American middle school students to aid his studies, which he mentioned he would use to impress Sherry Yang.
After the re-test, the teacher announced that Li Shendong's original CET4 score was valid and publicly apologized for the suspicion. Overjoyed by his success, Li Shendong invited everyone present to celebrate over a meal, offering to treat them all. As they walked out of the school gate, they were confronted by the same drunk man from before, who ominously declared, "Finally, I got you."
