The Demon Master Episode 10 Recap
> The Demon Master Recap
As the reigning champion of the model contest, Han Qilu commenced his duties as the official model for the art department. During a life drawing session where he posed unclothed, An Chuxia felt deeply embarrassed, focusing only on drawing his face while others depicted his full figure. Nangong Yin, observing An Chuxia's discomfort, publicly taunted her, remarking that An Chuxia "has a boyfriend who sacrifices himself for art."
Later, Han Qilu confronted An Chuxia, jokingly telling her to "Button up your shirt before you talk to me," and asking why she was embarrassed after painting him. When An Chuxia retorted, Han Qilu, pleased by her reaction, teased her further, asking if she was "jealous because I let others see?" An Chuxia denied it but mentioned that the teacher had praised her drawing. Han Qilu then insisted on seeing her work, which she refused.
The art department was preparing for an important Collecting activity, a major group excursion that An Chuxia was excited about. However, Ming Yuan informed her that she would be unable to attend due to family matters. Later, Nangong Yin deliberately misled An Chuxia, giving her an incorrect departure time. Nangong Yin approached An Chuxia, calling her "stupid" for studying when they were supposed to be heading to the resort "this evening."
Confused, An Chuxia clarified the actual departure time, but Nangong Yin falsely insisted it was 8 PM. As a result, An Chuxia missed the designated bus. Waiting by the roadside, she realized she had been tricked and called herself foolish. Han Qilu unexpectedly arrived, remarking, "Someone finally admits she is stupid." He explained that it was too dangerous to travel to the resort at night and offered to drive her there the following morning.
He took her to a different place to help her "vent your anger," and that night, they ended up sharing a room, with Han Qilu setting a clear boundary but then complaining that the room was too bright to sleep. An Chuxia expressed her frustration at constantly being targeted, to which Han Qilu attributed it to her "female protagonist issue," suggesting it was because she was "outstanding."
The next day, Han Qilu openly drove An Chuxia to the resort, drawing immediate attention and jealousy from other students. When Li Shendong tried to greet An Chuxia by taking her arm, Han Qilu quickly intervened, telling him to "Show some respect" and possessively stating, "The girl you are showing affection to is mine."
An Chuxia urged Han Qilu to avoid causing trouble, telling him to return to the car while she asked Mr. Guo, their teacher, to arrange a separate room for him. Han Qilu, however, dismissed her efforts, declaring, "What room? We can live together." Mr. Guo then questioned An Chuxia about her absence the previous day, to which she explained her confusion regarding the departure time. Han Qilu interjected, claiming he was there out of an interest in painting.
Mr. Guo then addressed An Chuxia, emphasizing that while he typically didn't interfere with students' private lives, he considered her a promising student with great potential and advised her to "settle down, don't get distracted," and focus on her studies. Meanwhile, students continued to gossip about An Chuxia, sarcastically praising her for finding a "rich and clever boyfriend," though one corrected it to "ex-boyfriend."
Li Shendong confronted the gossiping students, chastising their "toxic" remarks and asserting, "It's not your place to decide whose girl she is." Bai Qiuzi, upon seeing Han Qilu, greeted him warmly, but he responded coldly, "Yeah, but I didn't come here for you." Bai Qiuzi, undeterred, insisted she knew he was "purposely treating me badly" and that she "won't give up easily." Han Qilu, however, simply told her to discuss it later as he needed to rest.
Later, Bai Qiuzi confided in her friends, lamenting that Han Qilu never truly looked at her and questioning An Chuxia's appeal. Her friends advised her that to win Han Qilu's affection, she should "become good friends with An Chuxia," citing the adage, "To know one's own strength and the enemy's is the sure way to victory." Elsewhere, a jealous Nangong Yin, after insulting An Chuxia, encountered Feng Shao kicking a swing.
She confronted him about his presence at their design class activity and called him "An Chuxia's follower." Suddenly, a frog startled her, and she frantically demanded Feng Shao remove it, despite his teasing. Feng Shao then fashioned a frog out of leaves for her, which she initially claimed not to be afraid of, merely finding them "disgusting." Li Shendong showcased his impressive cooking skills by preparing a meal for everyone, giving An Chuxia a special dish.
An Chuxia found it "delicious," praising his cooking. This deeply annoyed Han Qilu, who was not a good cook himself, especially seeing An Chuxia's enjoyment. To implement their plan to gain An Chuxia's trust, Nangong Yin orchestrated a deceptive scenario. She and her friends pretended to bully Bai Qiuzi, splashing water on her. An Chuxia, witnessing the staged mistreatment, immediately intervened, sternly warning Nangong Yin's group, "If you don't stop bullying Bai Qiuzi, I won't let you off."
This fabricated incident successfully portrayed Bai Qiuzi as a victim and fostered a newfound "friendship" between her and An Chuxia. Han Qilu challenged Li Shendong to a cooking competition for "tomorrow noon, in the kitchen," which Li Shendong eagerly accepted. Later that night, Nangong Yin inadvertently fell into a trap, crying out for help. Feng Shao, passing by, discovered her and jokingly asked who she was angry at this time.
Nangong Yin, attempting to maintain her pride, initially dismissed him, then claimed she was giving him an opportunity to repay a "debt." She revealed that she had cast her vote for him in the model competition because she "felt bad" for him, noting that he hadn't received "a single vote" from anyone else. Feng Shao was surprised by this revelation. As Feng Shao helped her out of the trap, Nangong Yin accidentally embraced him, causing an awkward moment between them.
As they walked back, he remarked that while he used to find her annoying, she was "pretty righteous" when not being so. Nangong Yin thanked him for saving her, and he humbly replied it was "nothing." Meanwhile, Bai Qiuzi, having now spent some time with An Chuxia, had a genuine change of heart. She told An Chuxia that she was "not stupid" and could tell "who is genuinely nice to me."
Declaring An Chuxia her "good friend," Bai Qiuzi also confessed that she didn't "like Han Qilu that much anymore" and believed that An Chuxia and Han Qilu were "a good match." She explicitly stated, "So, I won't be in your way anymore. I give up," solidifying her decision to pursue friendship over rivalry.
An Chuxia and Bai Qiuzi had observed Mr. Guo and Ms. Bai Xue's discreet, intimate interactions and decided to "add fuel to the fire" to ignite their romance. An Chuxia skillfully forged Mr. Guo's signature on a portrait meant for Ms. Bai Xue, with Bai Qiuzi humorously commenting on the portrait's subject appearing "a bit fat," but confirming the signature "looks genuine." An Chuxia, proud of her forgery, declared herself "a genius."
Meanwhile, the much-anticipated cooking competition between Han Qilu and Li Shendong commenced, with Mr. Guo serving as the judge. Mr. Guo tasted Han Qilu's dish first, displaying a peculiar expression. He vaguely described it as "very interesting" and capable of "fully unearthing the taste of the food itself," leaving the students unsure if it was good or bad.
He then praised Li Shendong's dish, calling him "the best cook among designers," while jokingly adding, "but the worst designer among the cooks." Ms. Bai Xue and other students eagerly sampled Li Shendong's creations, universally exclaiming how "delicious" they were. An Chuxia, seeing Han Qilu's dish neglected, tried to comfort him by proclaiming his food "delicious." However, Han Qilu himself broke the illusion, admitting, "I forgot to add salt."
An Chuxia quickly attempted to cover for him, claiming that "All the high quality restaurants don't use salt" as they "pursue the original taste," but Han Qilu simply told her to "Stop eating." Feeling embarrassed after Han Qilu exposed her defense, An Chuxia continued to advocate for his unsalted dish, claiming that "high quality restaurants don't use salt." Han Qilu then gently pulled her away from the scene.
Despite his cooking mishap, An Chuxia, still comforting him, assured him, "As long as it was made by you, even the most bland food tastes of you." Han Qilu then playfully suggested, "How about you have another taste of me?" Their intimate moment was abruptly interrupted by An Chuxia's phone ringing. It was Ming Yuan, who, in a desperate tone, cried out, "Chuxia, help me!"
