Rush to the Dead Summer Episode 2 Recap
> Rush to the Dead Summer Recap
Li Xia, dropping his brush, was a bit flustered. He quickly apologized to Fu Xiaosi. Fu Xiaosi glanced indifferently at Li Xia, ordering him to remain absolutely quiet and not to disturb others. Li Xia continued painting at ease. Lu Zhiang, however, suddenly ran over to tease Li Xia. Their loud movements attracted the teacher's warning, and both of them wore expressions of extreme embarrassment. Fu Xiaosi was curious why Lu Zhiang had suddenly become so interested in painting.
Lu Zhiang watched Li Xia's receding back, not paying attention to Fu Xiaosi's words, and just perfunctorily said that he was very interested in painting. Li Xia returned to his dormitory. He wrote down what he had seen and heard in the studio in his notebook for the priest.
It was then that he realized that the usually cold and arrogant Fu Xiaosi possessed such superb painting skills, and he felt a bit of admiration for Fu Xiaosi in his heart. Li Xia exerted tremendous effort to help his roommate put on a skirt, and accompanied his roommate to the tennis court. Fu Xiaosi and Lu Zhiang also arrived at the tennis court, where they coincidentally encountered the school's notorious bullies.
The bullies provoked Fu Xiaosi and Lu Zhiang, issuing a challenge directly to them. Li Xia disliked their overwhelming numbers and stepped forward to defend Fu Xiaosi and Lu Zhiang. Fu Xiaosi, however, completely disregarded his opponents, accepted their challenge, and made a bet. On the court, Fu Xiaosi and Lu Zhiang cooperated flawlessly, their superb skills utterly defeating their opponents.
The opponents fled in disarray, and Fu Xiaosi and Lu Zhiang's brilliant performance earned thunderous applause from the students watching the game. Li Xia also changed his perception of the two. The teacher announced the results of the English entrance mock exam. Li Xia had originally been confident about getting first place. However, the teacher suddenly told the students that Fu Xiaosi and Lu Zhiang had scored perfect marks. All the students cast envious glances at the two of them.
Li Xia immediately felt a little disappointed but had to admit that the two truly deserved it. Because it was youth, they were young and wild. To pursue the idol in his heart, Li Xia helped Cheng Qiqi secretly take photos of their idol from a record store. Those seemingly foolish actions, during a student era with idols in their hearts, all felt so innocent and dreamy. Cheng Qiqi took Li Xia to eat and chat.
While by the school road, Li Yanran, eager to see Fu Xiaosi, ordered her driver to speed up. Li Xia, distracted for a moment, did not notice the speeding car and was accidentally hit and injured. Cheng Qiqi immediately took photos of the accident scene as evidence. Fu Xiaosi and Lu Zhiang happened to be passing by.
When Fu Xiaosi saw Li Xia's foot was injured, he immediately picked Li Xia up and carried him towards the infirmary without a second thought. Lying in Fu Xiaosi's warm embrace, Li Xia tried hard to control his inner nervousness and unease, and shyness had already crept onto his face. The doctor treated Li Xia's wound. The pain made Li Xia unable to help but cry out. He subconsciously gripped Fu Xiaosi's hand tightly. Fu Xiaosi did not complain.
After the doctor finished treating Li Xia's injuries, Fu Xiaosi casually picked up Li Xia's sketchbook. Li Xia told him that he liked the priest. Fu Xiaosi seemed a bit surprised. Just as the two were happily conversing, Li Yanran suddenly interrupted their conversation. She declared her ownership to Li Xia, saying she was Fu Xiaosi's girlfriend, and forcibly pulled Fu Xiaosi away. Watching Fu Xiaosi's departing back, Li Xia felt a little lost in his heart.
He ultimately could not escape the growing pains of youth and could only console himself. In the following days, Fu Xiaosi consistently tried to get close to Li Xia and wanted to take care of his foot injury. Li Xia was still angry about the ambiguous relationship between Fu Xiaosi and Li Yanran, and ignored Fu Xiaosi's goodwill. The school art festival was approaching.
Teacher Wenren assigned Fu Xiaosi and Lu Zhiang to participate and asked Fu Xiaosi to recommend a candidate. Fu Xiaosi hesitantly said that he recommended Li Xia. Li Xia was very surprised. Everyone was discussing Fu Xiaosi's recommendation of Li Xia. Li Xia, following Fu Xiaosi's advice, rushed to the art studio alone late at night, hoping to make up for his lacking drawing skills. The moonless night was windy, trees swayed, and the heavy atmosphere instilled fear.
Li Xia walked nervously on the way to the art studio. Li Xia gently pushed open the door, but unexpectedly saw Fu Xiaosi engrossed in painting. Li Xia couldn't bear to disturb him while he painted and wanted to quietly leave. But unexpectedly, his movements were too loud and startled Fu Xiaosi. Fu Xiaosi did not blame Li Xia; instead, he urged him to practice drawing. The two quietly enjoyed their time alone in the tranquil and silent art studio.
The dean urgently summoned Li Xia via the broadcast. Li Xia nervously rushed to the office, only to see Li Yanran waiting for him in the office with her father. Li Yanran's father apologized to Li Xia on her behalf and offered him a sum of money as compensation. The driver, moreover, stood by and mocked Li Xia for his poor family background. Li Xia did not accept Li Yanran's father's goodwill.
His self-esteem bruised, he ran back to the classroom and grieved alone at his desk. Lu Zhiang, who saw Li Xia at the office door, was worried about Li Xia and ran after him to comfort him. Fu Xiaosi waited alone in the art studio to tutor Li Xia in painting. But Li Xia was late in coming. Fu Xiaosi was restless and had no mind for painting.
In the empty art studio, there was only his lonely figure, appearing solitary and sad. Lu Zhiang took Li Xia to a quiet place near the school. He sincerely opened his heart to Li Xia. In fact, in Lu Zhiang's heart, he had already deeply fallen for the pure and strong Li Xia. Lu Zhiang's thoughtful companionship chased away all the unhappiness in Li Xia's heart. Lu Zhiang rode a bicycle with Li Xia.
The two cycled through the verdant paths, freely enjoying the warmth of the sun, all their worries having vanished. Fu Xiaosi walked along the road, disheartened. But he encountered Lu Zhiang happily cycling with Li Xia. Jealousy immediately arose in Fu Xiaosi's heart. He tightly clutched a cola bottle, suppressing his inner rage.
