Sinopse
Chen Yuhu (Jade Cole), a history major at University A, dies suddenly after staying up all night reading web novels and awakens in the body of a marquis household's matriarch. The original hostess had endured years of mistreatment—an overbearing mother-in-law who played favorites, a husband stationed at the frontier who took a concubine, and a life filled with resentment that ultimately led to her untimely death.
Determined to live a long life and return to the modern world, Chen Yuhu abandons the original's meekness and takes charge of her fate. She outwits her scheming mother-in-law, wins over her children and the household's concubines, restores order to the inner residence, and faces the challenge of Jiang Yusun, the pregnant concubine her husband brings home. At the same time, she carefully plans for her children's futures and secures their prospects.
After overcoming countless obstacles, Chen Yuhu firmly establishes her position as the lady of the house, helps Jiang Yusun find a new marriage, and eventually reconciles with her husband. As she settles into a peaceful life in ancient times, she steadily moves toward her ultimate goal: living long enough to die of old age.
