> Resumos de Love Beyond the Grave
He Simu remains occupied with the taxing administrative duties of the Void while her chancellors, Jiang Ai and Yan Ke, investigate the recent attacks. Their findings reveal that the spirits used in the tournament and the puppets in the valley were all manipulated through the forbidden Chiling Secret Technique. This points toward a formidable spirit named Bai Sanxing.
Historical records state that Bai Sanxing was sent to the Nine-Square Maze Prison three centuries ago, where He Simu personally destroyed his soul candle—an act that should have led to his total annihilation. Despite this, the evidence suggests a powerful enemy is once again looming over the Sovereign. As He Simu recovers her depleted power, Jiang Ai finds Duan Xu waiting persistently outside the Sovereign’s door.
She urges him to rest, reminding him not to squander the efforts He Simu made to cure his cold poison. The tension between the two chancellors soon comes to a head. Yan Ke, a man Jiang Ai knows to be loyal only to himself and his pursuit of power, confronts her about her lingering obsession with Bai Sanxing. He even accuses her of using white-haired spirits as substitutes for her old flame and plotting against He Simu.
Jiang Ai counters by reminding Yan Ke of his own past as Bai Sanxing's most trusted vice lord, suggesting he might betray his new master for greater authority. Finally, He Simu opens her doors to Duan Xu for his final round of treatment. As she works to root out the last of his cold poison, Duan Xu offers to help her with the unrest in the Void, just as she once helped him in the mortal world.
He Simu rejects his offer coldly, calling him an insignificant mortal who has no place in her world. She insists that her interest in him was merely a fleeting curiosity. To put a definitive end to their relationship, she kisses him one last time as a final goodbye and instructs Jiang Ai to escort him back to the mortal world the following morning. Duan Xu, however, refuses to leave quietly.
He approaches Jiang Ai and reminds her of her promise to take him anywhere in the Void. He specifically requests to visit the Nine-Square Maze Prison, the terrifying jail for spirits burdened by extreme desire and sin. Jiang Ai eventually agrees, leading him to the mountain spirit Xusheng, whose body forms the prison itself. Noticing the heavy aura of the Sovereign on Duan Xu, Xusheng is reminded of the mortal spouse of a previous Sovereign and allows them entry.
Equipped with soul candles to prevent them from getting lost in the darkness, they venture deep into the prison. There, they are shocked to find Bai Sanxing has indeed survived. During a confrontation, the powerful spirit manages to break Duan Xu’s soul candle. In the ensuing chaos, Duan Xu decides to leap into the pitch-black depths of the prison. Terrified, Jiang Ai rushes back to report the catastrophe to He Simu.
Despite Yan Ke’s warnings that entering the prison without a candle leads to eternal annihilation, He Simu is determined to save Duan Xu. She reveals to Yan Ke that Duan Xu is her Spell Bearer, her property whose fate is linked to her own. She enters the prison, intent on relighting his candle with her own flame.
Inside the nightmare realm, Duan Xu is tormented by visions of a cruel He Simu who mocks his feelings and memories of his father refusing to help him as a child. When the real He Simu finally reaches him, she finds him deeply lost in despair, and he initially threatens her with a sword in his confusion. She calls out to him, urging him to wake from the illusion.
As their spirits connect, the world around them shifts into a vibrant, peaceful dream. For the first time in centuries, He Simu is startled to realize she has regained her senses; she can feel the texture of the bedsheets and smell the air. Waking up in this domestic sanctuary, she sees Duan Xu, who warmly invites her to join him for a meal.
