Love in Red Dust
Love in Red Dust is a historical romance comedy directed by Zhu Ruibin, starring Wang Xingyue and Xu Ruohan.
The drama is adapted from the novel of the same name by You Si Jie.
The story follows Wen Dingyi, the daughter of a Ministry of Revenue official who disguises herself as a man to become an executioner's apprentice after her family is ruined. She encounters Prince Chun Yuwen Hongce, who is investigating a corruption case, and they travel together to the Yuanliao Mountains. Along the way, they foil a counterfeit money scheme, expose a fraudulent charlatan, and uncover signs of Wudi rebellion. Ultimately, they eradicate the corruption network in the court and clear Wen Lu's name, while developing feelings for each other during the process.

Wen Dingyi was the daughter of former Vice Minister of Revenue Wen Lu. Disbelieving her father's corruption charges, she planned to travel north to seek her brother for more clues.
At the same time, Prince Chun Yuwen Hongce was ordered to thoroughly investigate court corruption cases and also needed to travel north to Yuanliao Mountain for inquiries. The two decided to journey together.
Along the way, they fought injustice, punished evil, and upheld righteousness. They foiled a villainous scheme to counterfeit money for profit, exposed fraudulent charlatans, captured criminals who harmed the people, and even uncovered signs of Wudi tribesmen secretly entering the borders to cause trouble.
Ultimately, after overcoming numerous hardships, they uprooted the entire court corruption network, and Wen Lu's case was rightfully vindicated.
During this process, they developed mutual affection and eventually became a devoted couple.
