Due to Penny's departure, Student Council President Su Zixuan announced the cancellation of the anime festival and reclaimed the anime club's rehearsal hall. The club members were disheartened and deeply frustrated, having poured much effort into the festival. Club President Meng Shan and other members tried repeatedly to persuade Su Zixuan, but he remained unmoved, stating that without Penny, there was no need for the festival.
Su Zixuan explained that school resources were limited and had been reallocated to more "encouragement-worthy" clubs. Despite various attempts, including an illogical argument using Murphy's Law from Wang Fugui and a dramatic, improvised theatrical plea by Na Na, Su Zixuan reiterated his decision to deny the anime club the auditorium and the festival. A Zhai, deeply upset by the club's predicament, confronted Su Zixuan.
He accused Su Zixuan of cheating on Penny, which caused her to leave for Japan, and criticized him for not taking responsibility but instead punishing the anime club. A Zhai passionately argued that holding the anime festival was Penny's last wish before she left. Su Zixuan's assistant intervened, but Su Zixuan himself callously acknowledged that Penny had left because of him, yet dismissed it, stating she was gone and the club was only famous because of her.
He declared that the anime festival would not happen unless Penny returned. A Zhai explained to Wang Fugui that they needed to hack the school's website to quickly reactivate Penny's school profile, allowing Xia Wa to return to school as Penny in time for the anime festival. Wang Fugui, though finding it an exciting and difficult task, agreed to help.
A Zhai made sure to tell Wang Fugui not to inform Ya Dang about their scheme. The following day, anime club members were disconsolately packing up their belongings, preparing to go home. A Zhai stopped them, then dramatically drew back a stage curtain. A beautifully dressed Xia Wa emerged, captivating everyone. She announced her return from Japan, claiming to be Penny and declaring her intention to rejoin the anime club.
As Xia Wa had been modeled after Penny, her appearance was convincing, and no one doubted her identity. The club members were overjoyed and heaped praise on A Zhai for bringing "Penny" back. Xia Wa, still in her "Little White Rabbit" mode, sweetly asked A Zhai to help her change, and he, flustered but pleased, complied. A Zhai felt like a winner.
Later, Ya Dang arrived at A Zhai's place and was surprised to find A Zhai packing Xia Wa's luggage. A Zhai informed him that Xia Wa was moving into the girls' dorm and from now on, she was Penny. Ya Dang expressed concern, reminding A Zhai that Xia Wa was not truly Penny and that her personality was still unstable after the program reboot. He warned that playing with fire could lead to severe consequences if she lost control again.
A Zhai, however, dismissed Ya Dang's worries, believing him to be overly cautious. Unbeknownst to A Zhai, Xia Wa had transitioned from her "Little White Rabbit" mode to a more cunning and manipulative one, a change that would soon manifest in her interactions. Xia Wa, now appearing as Penny at school, subtly guided conversations when she overheard students gossiping about her past breakup with Su Zixuan.
She feigned innocence, hinting that the breakup wasn't because Su Zixuan cheated on her, but rather to protect his "self-respect." This cryptic explanation led the gossiping students to widely speculate and conclude that Su Zixuan's inability to perform sexually was the true reason for their split. The rumor quickly spread throughout the school. Meanwhile, Su Zixuan, having seen Penny's return, approached Xia Wa, hoping to reconcile and explain himself.
Xia Wa, however, calmly rejected him, stating she already had someone she liked. This fueled the rumors about Su Zixuan's alleged impotence, much to his bewilderment and the amusement of the students, including A Zhai, who was shocked by the speed at which the scandalous gossip spread. Xia Wa then sweetly offered A Zhai food. Later, students discussed how close A Zhai and "Penny" seemed, with some remarking that A Zhai must have gone to Japan to bring her back.
That night, Ya Dang arrived at the school to bring A Zhai some clothes, as he had predicted a change in the weather. While there, A Zhai spotted Mr. Boss approaching, seemingly looking for Xia Wa to exact his revenge. A Zhai immediately rushed to warn Xia Wa of the impending danger.
