Jiang Yiyi returned home, heavy-hearted after failing to find Fang Muye anywhere. She was tormented by the fact that Grandma had passed away despite her agreeing to marry Chu Tianqi, and by Muye's frightening transformation. She longed to know where Muye was and when he might return, even as she received a reminder for her upcoming wedding rehearsal. Yiyi contacted Chu Tianqi, who was still in a meeting, and arranged to talk to him at his home.

In the meeting, Chu Tianqi acknowledged that company headquarters was currently displeased with him, and he entrusted Kevin with delivering a report to headquarters, confidently asserting that he would not allow Rococo to take over the Malaysian market. Later, Yiyi went to Chu Tianqi's home to talk to him. While waiting, she signed for a wet package addressed to Chu Tianqi. As she opened it, a notebook slipped out.

Yiyi discovered it was Angel's diary, revealing Angel's deep love for Chu Tianqi. The diary explained that Angel's father had withdrawn his capital, complicating Chu Tianqi's business, and asked him to forgive her father's actions, which stemmed from his love for Angel. It also spoke of their shared night when a drunk Chu Tianqi had mistakenly believed Angel to be Yiyi.

Angel realized that love could not be forced and that she could never be Yiyi's replacement, a difficult truth that led her to decide to let go. After reading the diary, Jiang Yiyi understood that Angel's love for Chu Tianqi far surpassed her own. She concluded that her feelings for Chu Tianqi were rooted more in shared memories than true affection, and she could no longer accept a relationship built on compromise.

Chu Tianqi sensed that Yiyi's acceptance of his proposal wasn't driven by love for him, but by other reasons, and he feared there was someone else in her heart. Yiyi explained that she came to confront her true emotions, admitting her feelings for him were more admiration than love. She believed that forcing love was unfair to everyone involved.

Ultimately, out of his profound love for Yiyi, Chu Tianqi agreed to cancel their wedding, wishing her happiness and freedom to choose her own life. Yiyi thanked him. Meanwhile, Grandpa Hu was diligently tending to Fang Muye. Upon waking, Muye apologized to Grandpa Hu for his earlier disrespectful behavior. Grandpa Hu, unfazed, told him to rest and not worry.

Muye, recalling how he almost hurt Yiyi, was filled with fear and decided it would be best to stay away from her, believing she would be safer and face fewer problems without him. The next morning, Jiang Yiyi received a phone call and saw urgent news about the collapse of Rococo, reporting that the company had been exposed for developing prohibited medicine. Yiyi rushed to Rococo and found Peter Chen.

He furiously revealed that Chu Tianqi was behind everything, having orchestrated the exposure of Rococo's scandal, bribed workers, and manipulated stock prices for acquisition. Chen, however, showed no remorse for experimenting with drugs on people. He vehemently claimed that no one understood his true ideals, dismissing Yiyi as an idiot and her robotic arm research as utterly worthless. Hearing Chen's harsh words, Yiyi was devastated.

She felt like an ordinary, untalented, and naive fool, her work and love a mere product of wishful thinking, explaining why people always left her. With her long-held beliefs shattered, Yiyi retreated to her closet, seeking solace in alcohol. She watched old videos of Muye and their robotic arm project, missing him terribly and weeping uncontrollably. She lamented her perceived inability to succeed in anything and desperately wondered why Muye had left her and was ignoring her.

Yiyi didn't know how long she had hidden in the closet. Suddenly, she heard Muye's voice and rushed out to find him preparing breakfast in the kitchen. Disbelieving, she pinched Muye's face to confirm he was real, then quickly went to clean herself up. Muye gently blow-dried her hair as they ate breakfast, bringing a genuine smile to Yiyi's face for the first time in days. He teased her about her fickle preference for his vegetarian cooking.

Elsewhere, Miao Miao was on another blind date with an unusual man. Meng Sizhu, who had been following her, called her, pretending to be Jackie Chan's agent offering a role in a movie, which Miao Miao didn't believe. He then called again, posing as a property manager reporting a water leak at her apartment, successfully helping her escape the uncomfortable date. Her date, however, insisted on going Dutch for the meal. Back home, Muye was preparing to cook.

As he reached for a plate, his hand momentarily turned transparent, and he lost his grip, causing the plate to shatter. Yiyi noticed his bleeding finger from the shards and quickly got a band-aid. Muye was surprisingly happy about the injury, as the blood reaffirmed his physical presence. As Yiyi was bandaging him, he commented on her beauty. Later, in his room, Muye pondered his intermittent transparency. He found a "Heaven's Secret Hint Ball" which displayed "Ten feet."

He was confused, initially wondering if it meant he should keep his distance. However, he soon deduced that to prevent himself from completely disappearing, he needed to maintain a distance of no more than ten feet from Yiyi. From that moment, Muye began to stay constantly close to her. That night, as Yiyi went to her room to sleep, she noticed Muye lingering outside her door through the gap.

Unaware of his condition, she humorously called him a "knucklehead" for standing outside her room. Feigning fear of bugs in her room, Yiyi playfully invited Muye to sleep in her bed. He hesitated, unsure if he was taking up too much space, but Yiyi reassured him it was good to have him around. The next morning, they awoke in a sweet embrace. Just as Muye leaned in for a kiss, another hint appeared, displaying "Zero feet."

Muye explained his desire to hold Yiyi's hand and spend the entire day together, a wish Yiyi happily accepted. He secretly worried about how much time he had left. He was determined to teach Yiyi how to swim, cook, and be independent, so she could live a happy life even without him. While swimming, Yiyi momentarily lost sight of Muye and frantically swam back, relieved to find him. He spontaneously kissed her. That evening, they watched a movie together.

Yiyi expressed her fear that Muye might disappear like a character in the film. Muye tried to reassure her, downplaying his condition by saying he would only lose his sense of taste and become color-blind. Yiyi, relieved, joked that she would choose his clothes and that his loss of taste wouldn't matter since she was a terrible cook anyway.

Muye secretly reflected on his true fate: his body would become transparent and eventually disappear, leaving Yiyi unable to see or touch him. He urged her to live well, eat well, sleep well, and pursue her dreams, even if he couldn't be by her side in the future. Muye realized that he and Yiyi could not hold hands forever.

He contemplated that if his presence would only bring her sorrowful memories, then quietly leaving her might be the best way to protect her. He wondered if she would be able to accept his secret when she inevitably discovered it.
