Early one morning, as Yiyi was preparing breakfast, she saw a news report about Ruixing Company's recent setback, causing her to worry about Chu Tianqi. Coincidentally, he sent her a text message asking if she was free and waiting for her at home. She went to his house, where he showed her a virtual reality simulation of a beautiful seaside villa, part of his dream retirement plan.

He sincerely expressed that he had always believed a man should establish his career before starting a family, leading him to overlook Yiyi's decade-long wait. He produced a ring and proposed, asking her to marry him and thanking her for her long-standing presence in his life. However, just then, Yiyi received a call from Shi Liang's daughter, Dandan.

Yiyi gently declined Chu Tianqi's proposal, stating that she hadn't made up her mind and needed more time to consider, before excusing herself to leave. Dandan met Yiyi alone, explaining that her mother had gone missing and had left her a phone containing photos that Dandan believed were connected to her father. Crying, Dandan pleaded with Yiyi to help her find him.

She also gave Yiyi a music box that she and her father had made together, asking her to give it to him if she found him. Yiyi promised to do her best. Fang Muye spent the night searching and identified the address in the photos as a deserted Xinjing Nursing Home. They immediately rushed there, finding the atmosphere eerily unsettling. Inside, they found Shi Liang, his arm bleeding and severely disoriented, unable to recognize anyone.

Yiyi mentioned Dandan, which seemed to stir a faint memory in him. When Yiyi presented him with the music box, Shi Liang calmed down and expressed his desire to go home. As Fang Muye helped Shi Liang to the car, Yiyi realized Shi Liang had forgotten the music box and returned to retrieve it.

Meanwhile, unbeknownst to them, Chen Peter had orchestrated the situation, sending Peng Tao, equipped with a mask that could jam Fang Muye's superpowers, to the nursing home. As Fang Muye got Shi Liang into the car, he suddenly had a premonition of Yiyi falling. He instantly teleported back to find Peng Tao holding Yiyi hostage. Fang Muye tried to intervene, but the mask rendered him powerless. Peng Tao then threw Yiyi from the second floor.

Fang Muye managed to catch her before she hit the ground, and a struggle ensued with Fang Muye at a disadvantage. Unexpectedly, Shi Liang reappeared and punched Peng Tao, creating an opportunity for Fang Muye to knock off Peng Tao's mask. Peng Tao retaliated by stabbing Fang Muye in the stomach before fleeing with the mask. Fang Muye then collapsed after ensuring Yiyi was safe.

Fang Muye remained in a deep coma for three days and three nights, with no apparent injuries. Yiyi was at a loss, desperate to help him recover. She visited the hospital and, while sitting alone, wondered how to heal him, expressing her willingness to do anything to see him awaken. A nurse approached her, revealing that she too was a former Guardian, and her ward was a brilliant fellow Guardian named Chen Peter.

She explained that Chen Peter, after his own powers began to wane, became obsessed with Guardian gene research, hoping to reclaim his abilities, which led him down a dark path. She eventually chose to leave him, as she couldn't help someone consumed by evil. The nurse clarified that Guardians achieve their wishes by helping their wards find happiness.

She urged Yiyi to focus on her own happiness, emphasizing that if Fang Muye could help Yiyi find joy, his grandma would have a chance to wake up. The nurse then handed Yiyi a "Tianji hint ball," through which Yiyi fully grasped the truth about Guardians and the connection to Fang Muye's grandma's awakening. Upon returning home, Yiyi lay beside Fang Muye, who was still seemingly unconscious.

She told him that she had decided to accept Chu Tianqi's proposal, believing that her happiness would lead to his grandma's recovery. She encouraged him to wake up, confident that her joyful life would activate the power needed to rouse his grandma. Unbeknownst to Yiyi, Fang Muye had already regained consciousness but chose to remain still, wishing for the precious, fleeting moment of lying beside Yiyi to last forever, undisturbed.

Yiyi then went to Chu Tianqi's house and formally accepted his proposal, vowing to find happiness for Fang Muye's sake. With Yiyi's acceptance, she and Chu Tianqi began planning their wedding, including selecting a wedding dress. Meanwhile, Grandpa Hu diligently continued repairing the antique pocket watch, while Fang Muye dedicated himself to caring for his grandma, though his thoughts often drifted to Yiyi. During a fitting at the bridal shop, Yiyi appeared distracted and distant.

Chu Tianqi noticed her forced smile and wondered when she would stop pretending to be happy, feeling that nothing he did could truly touch her heart. Yiyi then received a call from Meng Sizuo informing her that Fang Muye's grandma had woken up. Her face instantly lit up with genuine joy, and she excitedly told Chu Tianqi that she needed to rush to the hospital, quickly changing out of the dress and leaving.

At the hospital, everyone gathered happily around Fang Muye's grandma, chatting and sharing stories. Later, as Yiyi and Fang Muye were eating, he realized he had lost his sense of taste, pondering the unpredictable future of his Guardian transformation now that his grandma was awake. Meanwhile, Miaomiao's mother relentlessly pushed her into blind dates, arranging two every week. Meng Sizuo, attempting to be her rescuer, discreetly followed her, looking for opportunities to help her escape awkward encounters.

During one date, Miaomiao met Cao Guodong, a banker who had significantly retouched his profile picture and had peculiar habits, such as bringing his own hot water and only drinking expensive tea. As Cao Guodong was asking Miaomiao to dinner, Meng Sizuo called her, cleverly impersonating her grandpa with a fake emergency about a "grandaunt giving birth," providing Miaomiao with a perfect excuse to leave, much to Cao Guodong's annoyance.

Back at the hospital, Yiyi and Fang Muye continued to care for grandma together. Yiyi lovingly combed grandma's hair, applied lip balm and hand cream, and even showed Fang Muye how to massage acupoints to improve circulation. Fang Muye watched them, feeling a profound sense of happiness with the two most important women in his life right before him.

The doctor confirmed that grandma's condition was stable, calling her recovery a miracle, but noted she couldn't speak or walk yet and would benefit more from recuperating at home than in the hospital. Yiyi suggested bringing grandma back to the old house for its fresh air and comforting atmosphere, an idea Fang Muye readily agreed with. Yiyi then received a text reminder from Chu Tianqi about a wedding menu tasting.

Fang Muye inquired about her wedding preparations, and Yiyi, putting on a cheerful facade, told him everything was going well and the ceremony was in two weeks, which clearly pained Fang Muye. As he walked Yiyi to the elevator, he helped a little girl retrieve a balloon that had floated to the ceiling. When the girl offered him a red balloon, he perceived it as white, realizing that he had now lost his sense of color.

Yiyi noticed his reaction but kept silent. Fang Muye suggested Yiyi stop coming to help, but Yiyi insisted, reminding him they were the "best roommates" and that she wanted to do as much as she could for him and grandma before she moved out. Fang Muye, in his heart, silently wished her happiness.
