Jiang Yiyi brought her mechanical arm to Rococo for a trial with Shi Liang, but the initial results were not ideal. Peter Chen praised her design as perfect, suggesting the issue might be with data collection and asked her to re-collect the data. Fang Muye, observing nearby, intervened and questioned Peter Chen about Shi Liang's worsening condition.
Peter Chen explained it was merely a drug reaction and offered Jiang Yiyi one million to buy her robotic arm, expressing full confidence in its potential. Yiyi, however, declined, stating that the arm was still imperfect, and selling it prematurely would be irresponsible to both Rococo and Shi Liang. Recognizing her commitment, Peter Chen offered to pay prerequisite costs in exchange for the right of first refusal, which Yiyi accepted, vowing to expedite her research.
Upon hearing the news of Rococo's interest, Yiyi's colleagues at Lazy Fun were thrilled and celebrated her achievement, promising increased R&D budget and additional support staff for her projects. Yiyi, driven by her goals, intensified her work, often staying up late to research. Worried about Yiyi's relentless overworking, Fang Muye used his powers to visit her at her company.
He initially disguised himself as a delivery man, then made himself invisible to others, observing and silently accompanying her during her long hours. After a week of continuous work, Yiyi returned home, exhausted, and suddenly realized that tomorrow would be her 30th birthday. She claimed her status as the birthday girl to insist that Muye help her pack for a move and accompany her to a theme park.
As they packed, Yiyi discovered her old phone, which triggered memories of her painful breakup with Chu Tianqi. She recounted how she had angrily left his car and gotten into a stranger's car – a car whose driver didn't drive her off, but drove away directly. She recalled crying by the street corner and her ex, Chu Tianqi, being gone.
She reflected that while the anonymous driver contributed to the breakup, it ultimately helped her mature and made Chu Tianqi more thoughtful, for which she felt grateful. Muye listened silently, eventually covering her with a blanket as she fell asleep, feeling a mix of reluctance and unease about her impending move, despite previously wanting her to leave. On the morning of her 30th birthday, Yiyi received many gifts from her colleagues at work.
Chu Tianqi sent her flowers and a text message admiring her lipstick and bag. She then received another message from him apologizing for being too busy to celebrate, adding that he had taken a week off for a trip to Dali with her to fulfill a college promise, and that he had already spoken to Vivian. Yiyi felt conflicted, knowing she had committed to improving the robotic arm for Peter Chen and that Vivian wouldn't normally let her take leave.
Later that day, as Yiyi was preparing to go to the theme park, Chu Tianqi surprised her by appearing at her company entrance, having taken leave specifically to celebrate her birthday. Yiyi, feeling obliged, apologized via text to Muye, who was already waiting at the theme park. Muye replied with a simple "Happy birthday." Chu Tianqi had reserved an entire restaurant for Yiyi's birthday dinner. During their meal, he inquired about Rococo's investment in her mechanical arm.
Yiyi explained that she refused their money because she didn't want to commercialize the arm, and after some initial disagreement, Chu Tianqi expressed his support for her decision. He then received an urgent work call from his assistant, urging him to meet Peter Chen to prevent losing a business opportunity. Understanding, Yiyi urged him to attend to his business, agreeing to wait for him to return for cake.
Chu Tianqi hurried off to meet Angel, who confronted him about "that night," accusing him of dismissing their encounter as merely an adult affair. Angel, heartbroken and angry about his reconciliation with Yiyi, demanded to know what she lacked compared to Yiyi, refusing to leave despite Chu Tianqi's attempts to send her home. Yiyi waited at the restaurant until it closed, but Chu Tianqi never returned.
Feeling dejected, she overheard birthday wishes on the car radio on her way home and resolved not to let her 30th birthday end disappointingly. She decided to go to the theme park alone. At the theme park, which was already closed, Yiyi found Fang Muye waiting for her. Muye used his powers to illuminate the carousel, bringing it to life for her.
He then subtly manipulated time, winding back the clock just enough to ensure Yiyi could make her birthday wishes before midnight. Yiyi made three wishes: for world peace, for the good health of her family and friends, and for Muye's grandmother to recover and wake up soon so Muye would be happy. Muye, assuming her final wish would be about Chu Tianqi, decided not to listen.
As Yiyi and Muye walked home together, they were spotted by Chu Tianqi, who had been waiting for Yiyi at her home entrance and appeared displeased. Meanwhile, Meng Sizhuo was confronted at his gym by a girl named Sisi, who claimed they had spent a night together. She falsely asserted she was underage, presenting a fake ID, and demanded money, holding him responsible.
Meng Sizhuo recalled that after buying all the movie tickets for Miaomiao and Muye, he had called some women to party and drink to relieve his frustration, which led to his encounter with Sisi. Unnerved, he gave her some money. Later, Jiang Yiyi was excitedly preparing for her trip to Dali with Chu Tianqi, showing Fang Muye the new clothes she bought.
Muye, however, seemed indifferent, criticizing her revealing dress as unsuitable for a nature reserve and reminding her about the cold nights there. Yiyi expressed her hesitation about the trip, feeling it was moving too fast, but also acknowledged it was a college promise and that Chu Tianqi had made a great effort by taking leave for her.
Muye, having received a notification from Grandpa Hu about his upcoming Guardian promotion training, became annoyed by her indecision and told Yiyi to make up her own mind. The next day, Fang Muye arrived at a grassy field for his Guardian promotion training as instructed by Grandpa Hu. Despite Grandpa Hu initially suggesting it would be a good, sunny day for training, it began to rain at Muye's location.
He called Grandpa Hu, who explained that Guardian training follows nature's course, requiring trainees to maintain calm and focus regardless of weather, achieving physical and mental unity, just as their ancestors did. Grandpa Hu also instructed Muye to turn off his phone to prevent magnetic field interference and playfully teased him about rushing to dance with his sweetheart.
