Love is in the Air Episode 12 Recap
> Love is in the Air Recap
Jiang Yiyi was in distress, drowning in the ocean, her body unable to move freely. Fortunately, Chu Tianqi arrived in time and pulled her ashore. At the temporary aid station, Yiyi checked on Chu Tianqi and noticed his leg was bleeding, possibly from coral, and immediately expressed her concern, trying to tend to his wound. Chu Tianqi, meanwhile, tenderly dried Yiyi's hair, an act she found touching as he had never done it before.
He confessed how much he missed her presence and, citing the inconvenience of her living with the coach, urged her to move in with him. He assured her he would always be her reliable support, especially after such a dangerous incident. Meanwhile, Fang Muye, whose body had become stiff and unresponsive in the water, was rescued by Grandpa Hu. When Muye regained consciousness, he was relieved to hear Yiyi was safe, saved by Chu Tianqi.
Muye, confused about how he suddenly teleported from the gym to the sea, was told by Grandpa Hu that Guardians are summoned when their ward is in danger. Grandpa Hu cautioned Muye to be careful not to risk his own life and instructed him to recover quickly for their next stage of training on the upcoming full moon. Muye then recalled his promise to Miaomiao to watch a movie.
At the cinema, Miaomiao was patiently waiting for Muye, accompanied by Meng Sizhuo, who was worried Muye might stand her up again, despite his own injuries. Muye finally rushed in late, soaked from head to toe. Sizhuo, being the thoughtful friend, quickly bought tickets for the next showing so Muye and Miaomiao could still watch the film, then excused himself to meet up with friends for drinks, feeling dispirited.
During the movie, Muye, exhausted from his ordeal, fell asleep, and Miaomiao gently rested his head on her shoulder. After the movie, Muye offered to cover Miaomiao's shift at the gym, but she insisted they work together, noting how pale he looked. After being dropped off by Chu Tianqi, Yiyi returned home, realized she had forgotten her keys. She tried calling Muye, but his phone was off.
Back at the gym, Miaomiao returned Muye's alarm clock, but discreetly concealed the fact that a crucial part of it was damaged. Muye apologized to Miaomiao for ruining the party they threw for him and being late for the movie, presenting her with a painting he knew she liked. However, Miaomiao confessed that it wasn't a gift she wanted.
She revealed her long-held feelings for him, explaining how she carefully hid them to stay close to him, even intentionally distancing herself in the past hoping he would seek her out, but he never did. Muye, admitting he hadn't realized the depth of her feelings, expressed his apologies. Miaomiao then embraced Muye, a moment Yiyi unfortunately witnessed as she arrived at the gym looking for him.
Heartbroken, Yiyi turned and left, telling herself it wasn't right to interrupt Muye's apparent relationship. Muye gently told Miaomiao that she would always be one of the most important people in his life, but Miaomiao understood that she wasn't important enough to "have" him. Muye explained his mission to help Yiyi find happiness, which was his top priority, and urged Miaomiao to consider those around her.
Later that night, Muye returned home to find Yiyi asleep on a park bench outside. He joined her, and when she awoke, she explained she'd forgotten her keys and had seen him busy at the gym. Muye shared the news of being recognized as "Fitness Star" by a magazine.
Yiyi congratulated him, though Muye sensed her unhappiness, and then offered to treat him to a big celebratory meal the next day, asking him to dress appropriately as she had something important to tell him. Muye playfully observed she still smelled of seawater, deducing she had been at the beach for a product test with Chu Tianqi, a detail Yiyi was surprised he knew.
The next day, Muye arrived at the pub dressed formally, only to be mocked by the owner for his attire. Yiyi clarified that the meal was to celebrate his award and their three months of cohabitation. She then revealed her decision to move out. Muye, feigning cheerfulness, agreed immediately, suggesting it must be because of Chu Tianqi. He even joked that if Chu Tianqi ever grew tired of her, he would take her back, though at a higher rent.
Yiyi, offended by his apparent happiness at her departure, declared she and Chu Tianqi would be very happy and left abruptly to pack. Once Yiyi was gone, Muye, who never drank, ordered liquor from the owner, admitting the "tastes of life" were found in it. Drunk in the park, Muye transformed into a clone and began talking to himself, reflecting on Chu Tianqi, Yiyi, and his mission, wondering if a Guardian could feel pain.
As he spoke, he suddenly grew wings, a sight witnessed by Peter Chen. Back home, Muye reviewed his Guardian midterm summary, which showed daily scores for his internship. He could re-evaluate and improve low-scoring incidents. He found a day with a score of 60, when Yiyi accidentally spilled red wine on his white shoes, causing him to lose his temper. Muye decided to "rebuild" this scene.
In the revised scenario, Yiyi brought him steamed buns and was careful with the wine on the balcony, but his dog, Gulu, ended up defecating on his shoes instead. Muye managed to suppress his anger. He then saw a previously unseen memory of Yiyi buying him expensive, limited-edition sneakers and then resorting to eating plain noodles because she had spent all her money. This deeply moved him.
Muye realized that his highest score came from a moment when he allowed Chu Tianqi to save Yiyi, which led to their reconciliation and Yiyi's decision to move out. He pondered if changing this past event could prevent her from leaving so soon, but found that only low-scoring plots could be reset. Later, Chu Tianqi found a still-tipsy Yiyi in the park and apologized that a business trip would cause him to miss her upcoming birthday.
Yiyi complained about his perceived neglect when she received a phone call from her "superhero," Peter Chen, inviting her to discuss business the following day. Chu Tianqi overheard her excitement and realized Yiyi was likely the "gifted inventor" Peter Chen had mentioned as his potential competitor. The next day, Yiyi met with Peter Chen, who inquired about Muye. Yiyi praised Muye, explaining his intelligence and assistance with the smart arm tests.
She agreed to bring Muye the next day to help test the arm on Mr. Shi Liang at the Rococo company. Back home, Yiyi found Muye fascinated by a 3D printer. Despite Muye's persistent skepticism towards Peter Chen, Yiyi shared her excitement, playing with the small figures they printed. She convinced Muye to accompany her to Rococo, emphasizing how talented Peter Chen believed Muye to be.
The following day at the lab, Yiyi and Muye found Mr. Shi Liang to be mentally unstable. Peter Chen explained that Mr. Shi Liang was sedated to help him cope with the reality of his disability, and he hoped Yiyi's design could help him. As they began testing the mechanical arm by stimulating the nerves and adjusting data, Mr. Shi Liang's expression suddenly contorted in pain.
