Grandpa Hu instructs Muye to now tame these wings, build a close bond with them, and consume more protein to help them integrate into his body.
Muye notes his recent intense craving for meat and expresses frustration with Grandpa Hu's advice and absence. While Jiang Yiyi and Zhizhi chat over drinks, a news report on TV announces that Rococo's smart bracelet research has been halted due to Shi Liang's withdrawal, though Peter Chen claims development is still underway. Yiyi expresses a strong feeling that something bad is about to happen. Fang Muye returns with takeout, including chicken wings.
He quickly gives a specific, well-done wing to Yiyi, noting it's her favorite and has no pepper, while Zhizhi is told she can have the rest. Yiyi gives Muye milk, explaining that he doesn't drink alcohol. Zhizhi questions where she will sleep, stating she refuses to share a bed with Yiyi because Yiyi grinds her teeth and takes up too much space. Muye offers his room to Zhizhi and says he will sleep in the gym, despite its constant activity.
Yiyi receives a phone call from Chu Tianqi, who is on a business trip. He asks her to visit his house the following day to water his plants. Muye questions who is calling Yiyi so late. Zhizhi then teases Muye, suggesting he could sleep with her instead of the gym, but Muye firmly rejects the idea. The next day, Jiang Yiyi visits Chu Tianqi's apartment to water his plants.
Upon entering, she finds slippers with a note explicitly stating they are "just for her." Inside, she discovers a thoughtfully preserved "creative corner" filled with her belongings, including her favorite CD, and even sees their shared photos placed in his cherished painting album. Yiyi is deeply moved by his meticulous efforts to save her things and his earlier romantic gestures, such such as his past mention of a honeymoon trip to a flower-filled paradise.
She then receives a text message from Chu Tianqi, inviting her to move back in if she likes everything he has prepared. Considering his sincerity, Yiyi contemplates rekindling their relationship. As she leaves the apartment, she spots Vivian and gym coach Peng Tao, which she finds puzzling. Rococo's smart bracelet research faces challenges, and their R&D team reports to Peter Chen about a specific fingerprint collected from the Science Museum.
The gene test results for this fingerprint are beyond their current analytical capabilities, indicating a "mutant gene sample" that Peter Chen deems invaluable for their research. He orders the team to retrieve all surveillance footage from the museum for that day to identify the person.
Peter Chen later reviews a video of Jiang Yiyi's mechanical arm, observing its intricate design for human joints, its internal air movement, and its impressive ability to maintain control and balance, even when demonstrated playing table tennis. Soon after, Vivian informs Yiyi that Peter Chen has requested her contact information, expressing significant interest in her mechanical arm design and a desire for collaboration.
Overjoyed at the prospect of working with her idol, Yiyi hugs Vivian, recognizing the immense opportunity this partnership could bring for their company. Fang Muye, feeling overwhelmed by recent misfortunes, including his uncontrollable wings and Zhizhi staying at his home, goes to find Grandpa Hu. Unable to reach him, Muye complains about Grandpa Hu's unreliability, especially during this critical period of his guardian advancement. Muye then receives a celestial notification: he has entered the "third stage, color blindness."
This stage will bring increased power and potentially "superior vision," but he is warned to be cautious and take precautions to avoid trouble and mistakes. Muye speculates if "superior vision" means seeing for miles. Zhizhi discovers Muye's notebook containing detailed notes about Jiang Yiyi, including a reminder to buy her sanitary pads, leading Zhizhi to believe Muye has feelings for Yiyi. Muye, startled, questions why she is looking at his notes.
Zhizhi then offers to reveal all of Yiyi's preferences and past if Muye agrees to go shopping with her. At the mall, Zhizhi takes a close selfie with Muye, explicitly stating she intends to send it to Yiyi to make her jealous and encourage her to pursue Muye. Muye objects, worried Yiyi will misunderstand, and insists he doesn't like Yiyi. Zhizhi dismisses his denial, asking why he's so nice to her.
Muye explains, "Because I'm her Guardian Angel," a statement Zhizhi finds amusingly outdated. During their shopping, Muye begins to experience his color-blindness, unable to distinguish between colors. When Zhizhi asks him to retrieve a specific colored dress, he seizes the opportunity to excuse himself, leaving a shop assistant to deliver the dress and his apologies to Zhizhi.
Fang Muye, now fully experiencing his color blindness where he sees distorted colors, is walking down the street when he notices an unattended baby stroller rolling into the path of an oncoming car. He quickly pushes the stroller to safety but is struck by the vehicle, briefly losing consciousness. Upon waking, Muye discovers he has gained a new "superior vision" ability, allowing him to perceive past events associated with a particular place or object.
At the same time, he observes Peter Chen driving by, surrounded by a distinct "black aura." Zhizhi, having returned home, initially plans to watch a horror movie and considers asking Muye due to Yiyi's busy schedule. However, Yiyi insists she isn't too busy and would like to go with Zhizhi, so they make plans for the next day.
At the cinema, Yiyi finds Muye waiting for her instead, who explains that Zhizhi had a stylist appointment and sent him with the tickets. Frustrated by Zhizhi's antics, Yiyi invites Muye to watch the horror film with her. During the movie, Yiyi, frightened, grabs Muye's hand. At one point, as they make way for another moviegoer, their faces come very close, almost in a kiss. Muye's wings stir in response, and he quickly pulls back, relieved they didn't uncontrollably manifest.
Back home, Zhizhi, talking to her pet, expresses her conviction that Muye and Yiyi are "mutually attracted" and that she has done her part to bring them together. As Muye walks Yiyi home, she tells him about her upcoming meeting with Peter Chen to present her proposal. Muye, recalling the dark aura he saw around Chen, warns Yiyi that "something is wrong with that Peter Chen" and advises her to be cautious.
At a café, Peter Chen expresses his admiration for Jiang Yiyi, stating that her vision of technology benefiting everyone and her innovative concepts have inspired his work. He praises her mechanical arm schematics, finding her ideas superior to those of his own design department. Peter Chen then offers Yiyi a position as a paid "counselor" at Rococo, inviting her to collaborate on research.
Overjoyed at the opportunity to work with her idol, Yiyi eagerly accepts, even offering to work for free. During her enthusiastic reaction, she accidentally spills coffee on him. He then extends an invitation for her to visit the Rococo company the following day; Yiyi, having another meeting, agrees to come in the evening. At the gym, Vivian and Peng Tao conclude their training session, during which Peng Tao makes flirtatious remarks about being Vivian's personal trainer outside of the gym.
Shortly after, Miaomiao confronts Peng Tao, having confirmed he is taking unauthorized private clients, a direct violation of their company agreement. Peng Tao admits to it, explaining that he needs the additional income to "survive in Shanghai" and assures her that his external work has not compromised his performance at their gym. Meanwhile, Jiang Yiyi arrives at the gym to see Muye.
She attempts to persuade him to accompany her to visit Rococo, but he declines, citing his general dislike for such corporate events. Yiyi then helps Muye by making his sleeping area in the gym more comfortable with a pillow and quilt from home, which he appreciates. However, Muye remains troubled, as images of Peter Chen with a "black aura" repeatedly flash in his mind, leaving him with a strong premonition that "something bad is gonna happen."
Feeling heartbroken, Zhizhi drinks alone at a bar, where she unexpectedly sees Chu Tianqi and Angel together. Drunkenly confronting Chu Tianqi, she questions his presence, as Yiyi believes he is still on a business trip. Chu Tianqi introduces Zhizhi to Angel. Zhizhi then pointedly insults Angel and fiercely warns Chu Tianqi not to hurt Yiyi again, vowing not to let him get away with it if he does.
After Zhizhi leaves, Angel invites Chu Tianqi to her home that night to discuss their collaboration with her father, who has an early flight to America the next morning. Chu Tianqi accepts the invitation. Jiang Yiyi arrives at Rococo Technology for her meeting with Peter Chen and his research team.
She presents her mechanical arm prototype, explaining its innovative design that directly connects to the brain, enabling it to function as a "new arm entirely," a significant improvement over their current smart bracelet which merely stimulates damaged motor cells. She shares that her neighbor, Shi Liang, was her inspiration. During the meeting, Muye, still suspicious, sends Yiyi a text message reiterating his concerns about Peter Chen. Peter Chen then briefly excuses himself from the meeting.
Muye, worried about Yiyi, arrives at Rococo and inadvertently enters a testing room. Using his newly acquired "superior vision," he perceives past events within the room, witnessing researchers conducting drug trials on patients. Muye immediately finds Yiyi, attempting to forcefully remove her and warning her that "there's really something wrong" with Peter Chen. Yiyi, refusing to believe him and growing frustrated, insists on staying for her meeting. Unable to persuade her, Muye arranges for Ma Yun to pick Yiyi up.
Later, Peter Chen inspects the testing room and discovers evidence of Muye's presence. Reviewing elevator surveillance, he finds no record of Muye entering, which puzzles him. However, his researchers confirm that the fingerprints collected in the testing room match the unique "mutant gene sample" previously found at the science museum. Peter Chen realizes with a sense of triumph that the individual he has sought for many years has "finally showed up."
