Ning Weixuan arrived at Gao Ren's office, eager to be his dance partner for the school's International Style of Ballroom Dancing event. She told him her cafe was thriving and she was there for him. When asked her purpose, she offered to be his dance partner, claiming she had experience from a ballroom dance club abroad and wouldn't be a burden.

Gao Ren, who was to be a judge, worried about their opening dance being a performance and his reputation as a three-time champion if they failed. Having already been turned down by Shu Yiran, he reluctantly agreed to let Ning Weixuan try out, warning that if she wasn't good, the plan was off. Ning Weixuan enthusiastically insisted they go practice immediately, even seeing through his lie about having a surgery. He jokingly lamented never succeeding in lying to her.

Meanwhile, Zheng Dingding officially joined Mu Yixun's studio. Mu Yixun welcomed her, acknowledging that their past misunderstandings were resolved and they were now partners. Dingding expressed her commitment to work hard and learn from Mu Yixun and her new colleagues. During their dance practice, Ning Weixuan, struggling in high heels, repeatedly twisted her ankle. Gao Ren, worried about her previous injury worsening, tried to stop her. She insisted she was fine, citing her brother's approval of exercise.

Gao Ren clarified that it meant appropriate exercise, not strenuous activity, and attempted to take her home. Ning Weixuan refused, confidently stating her athletic prowess would allow her to learn in a week what others took a month for, assuring him she would uphold his champion's reputation. Seeing her pain, Gao Ren eventually feigned exhaustion, saying, "I'm tired. I'd like to rest."

Ning Weixuan questioned his need for rest with the competition nearing, to which he retorted, "I'm an old man, okay?" He then helped her to a seat and applied an ice pack to her ankle. Elsewhere, Chen Xun was facing a severe crisis at Chengpin Life. He tried to reassure a supplier, Mr. Dai, that he would pay soon and urged him to continue shipping goods, leveraging their long-standing cooperation.

Shortly after, he received news that all distributors had gone on strike. He instructed his team to calm the distributors while he sought funds. Cat reported that many suppliers were demanding immediate payment by specific dates, and banks had refused loans due to the high risk. Chen Xun explained his plan to speak with logistics managers to restart delivery and slowly recover funds, but acknowledged the difficulty in securing money without bank support.

Wen Zixin's mother called, having heard rumors from a neighbor's son that Chen Xun's company was in dire straits and nearing bankruptcy. She urged Wen Zixin to leave Chen Xun and prioritize herself. Wen Zixin dismissed the rumors as malicious gossip and affirmed her commitment to Chen Xun, telling her mother to stop interfering. She then went to Chen Xun’s office, interrupting his argument with a supplier over unannounced closures and delayed orders.

Wen Zixin offered her personal savings, stating that problems solvable by money were not insurmountable. When Chen Xun hesitated, she argued that if he accepted Dingding's help, he should accept hers, especially as his assistant and Chengpin's spokesperson. She emphasized that the company's downfall would also impact her public image. Chen Xun tried to assure her he would shield her, but Wen Zixin clarified her concern was for him, not herself.

She insisted they were "on the same boat" and must overcome the challenge together. Later, Gao Ren brought Ning Weixuan back to the coffee shop. Yunsheng, noticing her injured foot, shared his dancing philosophy: true dance comes from body rhythm, not just memorizing footwork. He demonstrated, impressing everyone. Inspired, Ning Weixuan immediately asked Gao Ren to dance with her to try the new "rhythm" approach. As they danced, Gao Ren's phone rang. It was Shu Yiran.

He quickly assured her he was available and would come right away, instructing the cafe staff to look after Ning Weixuan. Ning Weixuan protested, but Gao Ren left hastily, saying they would finish their discussion another day. Dingding visited Ning Weijin at the hospital, bringing food for him and his colleagues. She overheard staff discussing Chengpin Life's troubles, including undelivered fresh fruit orders and unresponsive customer service, with speculation that the boss had absconded.

Dingding expressed her worry to Ning Weijin, dismissing the rumors of Chen Xun fleeing. She insisted it was impossible, highlighting Chen Xun's deep devotion to Chengpin as if it were his everything, and how she had witnessed its growth firsthand. Ning Weijin gently reminded her that her worry wouldn't change anything now that she had left the company. Dingding agreed, reasoning that Chen Xun was likely already addressing the issues.

Chen Xun convened his PR team, angrily demanding to know why they hadn't responded to the rampant negative online content. A PR employee explained the surge of "paid internet trolls" and "black posts," indicating deliberate manipulation. Another added that the sheer volume of customer complaints about undelivered orders and refunds was creating an echo chamber, easily swayed by negative narratives. They requested more time to strategize effectively.

Cat then reported that the refund system had crashed due to the overwhelming number of requests. Chen Xun then took Wen Zixin's bank card and instructed Cat to have the finance department process offline refunds according to the order sequence, while the PR team was ordered to continue finding a solution for the negative publicity. Reporters swarmed Chengpin's offices, seeking Chen Xun, who initially tried to avoid them. Cat suggested seizing the opportunity to clarify the situation and prevent misreporting.

Chen Xun agreed and asked Cat to find a trustworthy journalist for a live interview, declining Cat's suggestion to include Wen Zixin to avoid involving her. During the live broadcast, Chen Xun apologized for the logistical problems caused by their strategy errors, explaining that supply chain issues had affected distribution, but refunds were being processed, with 80% already completed. He requested more time.

A journalist then pressed him on rumors of Chengpin's logistics system collapsing, a broken capital chain, and impending bankruptcy. Chen Xun vehemently denied this, asserting the company's financial stability and active shareholder support. Another journalist questioned the damage to Chengpin's reputation, and Chen Xun expressed confidence in a fair judgment.

The journalist then shifted focus to Wen Zixin, asking if, as a public figure, she was aware of the company's debt issues and probing into her past romantic relationship with Chen Xun, including why they broke up and if she was the reason he had canceled his wedding. Chen Xun intervened, halting the interview. Afterward, the media largely ignored Chen Xun's clarifications, instead publishing scandalous stories portraying Wen Zixin as a homewrecker.

Meanwhile, Gao Ren and Ning Weixuan were supposed to be practicing dance. Gao Ren received a call for an urgent surgery, texting Ning Weixuan he would be late and she could leave. She replied she would wait and practice alone, sending him updates. Gao Ren, seeing her messages, felt his resolve waver. He recalled Ning Weijin's stark warning: "No matter what Ning Weixuan does, don't change your mind. You can't fall in love with her."

He inwardly chastised himself, reminding himself she was his sister and he had promised Ning Weijin. He then texted Ning Weixuan, telling her he couldn't come due to an emergency and she should go home, unkindly adding that she "can't dance well anyway." She immediately called him, but his phone was off. Furious, she threw her shoes and cried in the dance studio. Desperate, Cat visited Dingding at her coffee shop.

He explained that the crisis stemmed from Chen Xun's ambitious but flawed plan to abandon reliable third-party logistics in favor of an underdeveloped in-house system. When the new system failed and the spurned third-party companies refused to cooperate, the entire supply chain collapsed. Cat begged Dingding to return, but their conversation was cut short by Ning Weixuan, who arrived and angrily berated Cat for bothering Dingding.

As Cat was leaving, Dingding advised him that the immediate priority must be to re-establish good relations with the third-party logistics partners. Later, Cat arrived at Dingding's house, desperate for help. He explained that third-party logistics companies were now demanding two-year contracts and full upfront payment, having seemingly colluded in protest against Chengpin unilaterally abandoning them. He pleaded with Dingding to return. He then confessed that "he" was behind the Zhong Miaoli incident, not Chen Xun.

He admitted to hiring Zhong Miaoli and taking photos to expose Ning Weijin to Dingding, hoping she would return to Chen Xun. He had sent the photos directly to Ning Weijin, not his superior, and was shocked at how the situation escalated. He revealed that Chen Xun had taken the blame because he was angry Dingding didn't trust him, and had almost fired Cat over the incident.

Cat appealed to Dingding's past relationship with Chen Xun and urged her to help Chengpin. Ning Weijin then emerged from Dingding's room. He acknowledged Chengpin's plight but firmly told Cat that Dingding had resigned and had no obligation to help, warning Cat against using "moral kidnapping" to force her. Dingding handed Cat a USB drive containing her old Chengpin work data, including negotiation conditions and preferences of logistics partners, stating this was all she could do.

Agreeing with Ning Weijin, she told Cat that she believed Chen Xun could handle the crisis and that she wouldn't be much help anyway. Cat thanked them and left. Dingding then asked Ning Weijin if he thought she was heartless. He replied, "No," explaining he didn't want her to return to her old habit of sacrificing herself for others. He reminded her she now had her own career and him, and they should both move forward.

Dingding assured him she understood and wouldn't go back. Ning Weijin then asked if she wanted to sleep more, but she declined, suggesting they go grocery shopping for him to cook. He happily agreed.
