Ning Weijin returned Dingding's sketchbook, playfully calling it "Little scarf," and was met by Chen Xun. The two men exchanged a tense greeting, shaking hands while subtly sizing each other up. Ning Weijin introduced himself as Dingding's current pursuer, highlighting that he had already confessed his feelings, gone on dates, and met her parents. Chen Xun, with equal intensity, retorted that a pursuer was not yet a boyfriend. Dingding quickly intervened, urging Ning Weijin to leave before things escalated.
Before departing, Ning Weijin couldn't resist one last jab, reminding Chen Xun that he was merely an ex-boyfriend. Dingding sighed, remarking on their childish behavior, and Ning Weijin told her to call him if she ever faced danger before finally leaving. After Ning Weijin left, Chen Xun immediately questioned Dingding, asking if she had accepted Ning Weijin's advances. Dingding denied it, explaining that she had just started her studio and didn't want to be entangled in a relationship again.
Changing the subject, she inquired about Wen Zixin. Chen Xun revealed that Wen Zixin had suffered a minor concussion and, as a condition for letting him go for good, had asked him to be her "boyfriend for one day," to which he agreed. Dingding, unfazed, told him that if he had no intention of reconciling with Wen Zixin, then her changes were irrelevant to him. He plainly stated that Gao Ren simply did not like her and advised her to give up. However, Ning Weixuan refused, arguing that love could grow over time and pointing out that Ning Weijin himself hadn't given up on Dingding. Dingding went to the hospital for a follow-up check-up, secretly hoping to avoid Ning Weijin.
Ironically, she encountered him when an elderly patient stumbled. Both Ning Weijin and Dingding rushed to help, but a broken glass cut Ning Weijin's hand. With the interns at lunch, Dingding stepped in to help bandage his wound, despite her discomfort. As she worked, Ning Weijin pressed her, asking if she still couldn't forget Chen Xun. Dingding, her eyes evasive, uttered a "yes," but her rapidly beating heart betrayed her lie.
Ning Weijin pointed out that her reasons for rejecting him constantly changed, none ever being that she disliked him. He concluded that she was simply unwilling to start a new relationship, not that she disliked him, and vowed not to give up, believing time would eventually reveal her true feelings. Dingding attempted to leave, claiming she needed to see another doctor, but Ning Weijin noted it was lunch and she would only be waiting.
Meanwhile, Wen Zixin observed Chen Xun dozing off during a photoshoot. Cat informed her that Chen Xun had been sleeping at the company, avoiding the loneliness of an empty home. Wen Zixin offered him coffee and tried to comfort him, but Chen Xun politely rebuffed her, excusing himself to smoke. Later, she found him drinking alone, admitting he couldn't sleep without it. She asked Dingding to go to her house to close the windows, assuring her that Ning Weijin was in surgery and wouldn't be home. Dingding reluctantly agreed. Upon arriving at Ning Weijin's house, Dingding found all the windows securely shut and the cat peacefully indoors. As she chatted with the cat, Ning Weijin suddenly appeared behind her, confirming Ning Weixuan's deception. He explained that his injured hand prevented him from performing surgery.
Dingding tried to leave, but Ning Weijin asked for her help washing his hair, emphasizing his inability to get his hand wet. Hesitantly, Dingding agreed. As she washed his hair, Ning Weijin relaxed, finding comfort in her touch, which reminded him of a kind girl from his childhood. He told Dingding he liked that person and still did.
Confused, Dingding pointed out his conflicting statements, but Ning Weijin seriously affirmed that he never liked people casually, and his feelings for her were genuine. Leaning in, he whispered "I like you" into her ear, causing her to blush deeply and become flustered. Later, Ning Weixuan, who had been researching breast augmentation, asked Dingding about the most irrational thing she had ever done for Chen Xun.
Dingding recounted turning down a coveted toy design job in Shenzhen to stay with Chen Xun after his breakup with Wen Zixin. She expressed no regrets, valuing the beautiful memories and stressing the importance of experiencing crazy love in youth. Inspired by Dingding's words, Ning Weixuan decided to move forward with breast augmentation.
