Long For You Episode 11 Recap
> Long For You Recap
Jiang Huai’s birthday party approaches, and Xue Ji helps her pick out an outfit, commenting that she looks good in anything. Jiang Huai mentions inviting Li Zhe and Gu Shiyi, and when Xue Ji asks about her familiarity with Li Zhe, Jiang Huai jokes about being "bought" by his Gucci bag. During their chat, Xue Ji asks about Jiang Huai’s relationship with Chun Shan, noting Jiang Huai’s unexpected hesitation.
Jiang Huai, though of similar age, admits she lacks Xue Ji’s inner strength, resolve, and maturity. Xue Ji, feeling uneasy, subtly asks Jiang Huai if she believes in the existence of immortal beings or vampires—flesh-and-blood people who can live for thousands of years and feel emotions. Jiang Huai dismisses the idea outright, causing Xue Ji to keep her thoughts to herself. Downstairs, Chun Shan’s voice is heard.
Jiang Huai goes down and sees Gu Shiyi and Li Zhe make eye contact, while Chun Shan looks at Jiang Huai expectantly. Jiang Huai quickly excuses herself to the restroom. The birthday party begins with Li Zhe, Gu Shiyi, Chun Shan, and other girls celebrating. To liven the mood, Chun Shan suggests a trivia game. As everyone struggles with history questions, Xue Ji effortlessly answers each one, impressing everyone with her intellect.
Only Xue Ji knows that her knowledge comes from having lived for thousands of years. Meanwhile, Min Furen, after making many unanswered calls to Xue Ji, collapses. Her secretary discovers her unconscious and rushes her to the hospital. After resuscitation, Min Furen is stable but weak. Tormented by her illness and desperate for a permanent solution, she can no longer wait for Xue Ji to contact her.
She urgently instructs her secretary to call Xue Ji immediately to finalize her wish. Playing happily, Xue Ji receives the call, her expression instantly freezing. Regaining composure, she tells everyone she has to leave. Although Jiang Huai wants Xue Ji to stay and continue celebrating her birthday, Xue Ji insists and takes Jiang Huai with her to the hospital to witness Min Furen’s outcome. At Min Furen’s hospital room, Min Furen instructs her secretary not to let anyone else enter.
Faced with Min Furen’s obsession, Xue Ji reminds her that her body must not be autopsied after death. Min Furen expresses her desire to receive Xue Ji’s blood. Xue Ji then enters the room and emerges with half a tube of her own blood. She confirms Min Furen’s wish and rolls up her sleeve for the injection. Before pushing the needle, Xue Ji warns Min Furen not to track people around her.
Min Furen vehemently denies tracking anyone other than Jiang Huai. Just then, Xue Ji spots a camera hidden behind the door and rushes out to pursue the stalker, but the corridor is empty. She returns to the room. Jiang Huai, completely bewildered and frightened by the scene, doesn't understand what they are doing. When she sees Xue Ji prepare to inject Min Furen, Jiang Huai attempts to intervene, but it’s too late. Min Furen ultimately achieved her dying wish.
She gives a cold laugh, saying she knew Xue Ji wasn't genuinely helping her and had always considered Xue Ji to be a cold-blooded person. A hot flush suddenly spreads through Min Furen’s body, and red spots appear all over, just as they did years ago on a previous experiment subject. After a painful struggle, Min Furen’s eyes widen as the faint waves on the medical monitor flatten into a still line.
Min Furen paid the ultimate price for her greedy desire. While doctors are in disarray, Xue Ji, with no time to dwell on Min Furen’s death, pulls the distraught Jiang Huai—who had witnessed everything—out of the room. Later by the riverside, the events replay repeatedly in Jiang Huai’s mind. She blames herself for Min Furen’s death, believing it was due to her "stupid deal," and despite Xue Ji’s attempts to comfort her, Jiang Huai cannot escape her guilt.
Remembering her conversation with Min Furen, Jiang Huai questions Xue Ji’s true identity. Xue Ji finds herself unable to explain. With such a tragedy, Jiang Huai is no longer in the mood to celebrate her birthday, and Xue Ji reluctantly leaves her to return home alone. In her car, Xue Ji calls Tao De, instructing him to review the hospital’s surveillance footage to identify who was secretly tracking her.
It is revealed that the person taking the photos was Lin Beila, who is now smugly looking at the stolen images. Lin Beila calls Mr. Wu, Min Furen’s son, who initially says he’s busy. Lin Beila informs him she has something related to Min Furen to send him, and she sends him the photos of Xue Ji injecting Min Furen.
Mr. Wu, upon seeing the photos, believes Xue Ji maliciously caused his mother’s death and, filled with hatred, vows to deal with Xue Ji. Xue Ji sits alone on a rooftop, drinking. A rare melancholic expression appears on her face as the wind brushes through her hair. Gu Shiyi joins her, quietly keeping her company, and asks her the reason for her sorrow.
Xue Ji calmly speaks of Min Furen’s death, and Gu Shiyi is unsurprised, having already suspected Xue Ji’s true identity from past events. Understanding his implication, Xue Ji openly admits her identity. Xue Ji smiles faintly, saying people should die gracefully when it's their time. She reflects that living for a thousand years has also meant suffering for a thousand years. Over this vast expanse of time, she has experienced countless encounters, knowings, births, and deaths.
She feels that "my existence will never be needed by anyone," and with a pang of sadness, she empties her drink. " But I will," Gu Shiyi declares, pulling Xue Ji to her feet and looking at her with unwavering determination, confessing that he cares for her.
