At Li Shizong's funeral, family members, including his wife Qin Si, gathered under black umbrellas. Their silence was not one of sorrow but of hidden motives and calculations concerning the coveted inheritance. One raised a gun, aimed, and fired. With a "bang," Xue Ji was shot directly in the heart.
