After returning to Green Hill from the Heavenly Palace, Bai Qian went directly to her second and fourth older brothers to discuss her wish to marry Ye Hua as soon as possible. Although her second older brother knew the marriage had been personally arranged by the Fox King and the Heavenly Monarch, he worried about Mo Yuan, thinking he was Bai Qian's true love.

Bai Qian quickly clarified that Mo Yuan, as her teacher, was like a father to her and a beloved family member, especially after he saved her from tribulation. However, she emphasized that in matters of the heart, only Ye Hua held a place. Her brothers were relieved by her clear declaration. Bai Qian then revealed her reasoning for the rush: Ye Hua had sacrificed much of his cultivation to refine the medicinal pill for Mo Yuan.

She feared he wouldn't be able to withstand the tribulations required for succession as Heavenly Monarch, and as the Heavenly Monarch and Monarchess had always faced these trials together, she wished to be married to him to share the burden. She also decided to pass on her position as Green Hill Empress, explaining that she couldn't be both the Heavenly Monarchess and the Green Hill Monarchess.

While her brothers acknowledged this, they were concerned about the family seniority if Fengjiu, her niece, took over. They decided to discuss it with their parents and eldest brother first. Bai Qian then discreetly informed Fengjiu that Cheng Yu wanted to see her in the Nine Heavens urgently, adding that if she needed help to sneak out, she should ask Bai Zhen. Bai Qian then promptly returned to the Heavenly Palace to have dinner with A-Li.

Bai Zhen chuckled, observing how genuinely dedicated Bai Qian was as a stepmother. Later, Bai Zhen shared these two happy developments with Zhe Yan in the Peach Blossom Forest: Fengjiu was to inherit the position of Green Hill Empress, and Bai Qian was marrying Ye Hua. Zhe Yan, however, showed no joy.

He had long known that Mo Yuan’s affection for his little Seventeenth was far more than a teacher's fondness and lamented Mo Yuan’s seventy-thousand-year slumber, noting the unfortunate twists of fate. Meanwhile, in the Heavenly Palace, Consort Le Xu was busy arranging betrothal gifts for Bai Qian and instructed Su Jin, the side consort, to assist with the wedding preparations. Su Jin dutifully agreed, promising to ensure High Goddess Bai Qian married nobly.

She inquired about the wedding date, but Consort Le Xu explained it hadn't been set yet because Ye Hua was scheduled to go to the Mortal Realm for a tribulation, returning in two months. When Bai Qian returned to Washing Jade Palace, she found Ye Hua absent from Zichen Palace. Instead, Jia Yun awaited her, conveying Ye Hua's instruction to escort her to him.

As Bai Qian walked towards the Lotus Pond, touching the stone railing, she had a fleeting sensation of a blindfolded woman stumbling along, a feeling that was eerily familiar. At the Lotus Pond, the thick mist that had settled earlier dispersed, revealing Ye Hua standing with the Heavenly Tribe immortals, who formally bowed to Bai Qian. Ye Hua confirmed that this was a welcome ceremony fit for the Crown Princess of the Nine Heavens.

This grand gesture from Ye Hua dispelled the grievances Bai Qian had been feeling about the strict rules of the Heavenly Palace. A-Li soon joined them, happily remarking that his mother had made arrangements to marry his father as soon as possible. Bai Qian informed Ye Hua that her second older brother had agreed to discuss their marriage with their parents, and if all went well, they would marry on the second day of September.

However, Ye Hua confessed this date was impossible as he needed to descend to the Mortal Realm for tribulation. Bai Qian was displeased, knowing this was due to his killing of the four divine beasts of Yingzhou. Despite his merits for destroying the mystical mushrooms, slaying the beasts, who possessed half of Father God's divine power, was a significant sin, requiring him to endure a mortal tribulation.

Although it would only be two months in the Heavenly Realm, it would be a full lifetime of sixty years for him in the mortal world. Bai Qian, unwilling to be separated for so long, suggested they postpone the wedding to October. She then anxiously asked if he had read the Book of Fate Si Ming had written for his mortal life, fearing "love triangles."

Ye Hua calmly replied that the Heavenly Monarch had left his Book of Fate blank for this tribulation, meaning his fate would be entirely up to him. Concerned, Bai Qian sternly warned him not to marry other women in the mortal realm, reminding him that she was his unmarried main consort and declaring her intolerance for unfaithfulness.

Ye Hua gently touched Bai Qian's face and playfully asked what she would do if he did attract another woman in the mortal realm. Bai Qian, pushing him onto the bed, declared that if that happened, she would "kidnap" him back to Green Hill, lock him in the fox den, and ensure he saw only her every day, whether eating, reading, or painting. Ye Hua's eyes brightened, and he whispered that he wished she would kidnap him right then.

They agreed that Bai Qian would wait for him in Green Hill, and after his tribulation, he would come to her there, forsaking formal wedding ceremonies for Green Hill's custom of her "locking him up in the fox den." Before Ye Hua left for the Mortal Realm, he drank from the River of Forgetfulness, promising Bai Qian to return to her.

Meanwhile, Fengjiu, eager to know why Cheng Yu had summoned her, pleaded with Bai Zhen to take her to the Heavenly Palace. Bai Zhen eventually relented, helping her bypass her father's barriers in Green Hill, though he warned her that her father would surely discover her absence and likely confront Emperor Dong Hua. Annoyed about having skipped lunch because of Fengjiu, Bai Zhen decided to visit Zhe Yan.

Upon arriving at the West Sea, Bai Zhen and Zhe Yan found Die Feng, who reported that Die Yong had woken up the previous night feeling much lighter, as if a long-standing burden had been lifted. Zhe Yan, suspecting Mo Yuan’s spirit was returning, used a soul-pursuing spell and confirmed that Mo Yuan’s spirit was no longer residing within Die Yong.

Overjoyed, Zhe Yan instructed Die Feng to return to Kunlun Void and prepare the disciples to welcome their teacher back, while he and Bai Zhen would rush to Green Hill's Splendid Flame Cave to check on Mo Yuan's body. Soon after, the bells of Kunlun Void began to ring, signaling Mo Yuan's return, a sound that even Emperor Dong Hua recognized with a deep gaze, affirming that Mo Yuan was indeed back.

Back in Green Hill, Bai Qian, upon hearing the ringing bells of Kunlun Void, was overcome with emotion. Bai Zhen and Zhe Yan arrived from the West Sea, with Bai Zhen excitedly telling Bai Qian that her long-cherished wish would finally be granted today: Mo Yuan was waking up. Bai Qian was stunned, then choked back tears as she repeatedly asked if her teacher was truly awake.

Zhe Yan quietly commented that Ye Hua's sacrifice had not been in vain, and Bai Qian nodded tearfully. Approaching the Splendid Flame Cave, Bai Qian, suppressing her excitement, attempted to transform back into her male form of Si Yin, fearing Mo Yuan wouldn't recognize her as a woman.

Zhe Yan stopped her, revealing that Mo Yuan had known all along that she was female but had never exposed her out of respect for her parents, questioning if she truly believed she had fooled him for twenty thousand years. Bai Qian slowly entered the cave, and through the lingering mist, she saw a figure on the ice bed. Rushing forward, she found Mo Yuan, looking exactly as he had seventy thousand years ago. Tears streamed down her face.

Mo Yuan smiled faintly and said, "Seventeenth, come let me see how you've grown." Bai Qian, overwhelmed, collapsed into his arms, joyfully and sorrowfully calling out "Teacher!" Mo Yuan gently held her trembling hands, remarking that her current feminine appearance was also pleasing. Bai Zhen and Zhe Yan then entered, with Zhe Yan playfully observing that Mo Yuan had finally awakened after seventy thousand years. Given the chill in the cave, they moved to the warmer Fox Den.

There, over tea, Mo Yuan asked Zhe Yan if anyone resembling him had appeared during his long sleep. Zhe Yan, with a knowing glance at Bai Qian, confirmed such a person existed and was very close to Bai Qian. Bai Qian, trying to maintain her composure, identified the person as her fiancé, the Crown Prince of the Heavenly Tribe. Mo Yuan's hand paused on his teacup. After a long moment, he calmly asked for Ye Hua's name and birth details.

Upon hearing them, he took a sip of tea and revealed, "Little Seventeenth, my twin younger brother is kidnapped by you just like that." Everyone present, except Mo Yuan, was speechless. Mo Yuan then explained that their mother had been pregnant with twins, but during her efforts to mend the Four Great Pillars that held up Heaven, she suffered a miscarriage, only able to protect the older twin—Mo Yuan himself.

Feeling deeply sorry for his younger son, Father God used half of his divine power to create a divine embryo, which he nurtured within a golden lotus and entrusted to Mo Yuan, asking him to raise it in the lotus pond of Kunlun Void, hoping it would one day awaken. Mo Yuan surmised that his own spirit sacrifice to the Donghuang Bell had ultimately awakened his younger brother.

Bai Zhen marveled at Ye Hua's extraordinary birth phenomena, realizing he was indeed Father God's son and Mo Yuan's twin brother. Mo Yuan expressed a wish to see Ye Hua. Bai Qian, concerned about Mo Yuan’s newly awakened state, suggested that he recuperate first, as Ye Hua was currently undergoing tribulation in the mortal realm and couldn't be found. She promised to bring Ye Hua to him once he recovered. Mo Yuan agreed to return to Kunlun Void for seclusion.

Although Bai Qian worried about the dilapidated state of Kunlun Void, Mo Yuan assured her it was fine, and they all decided to journey there together. Meanwhile, Cheng Yu informed Fengjiu that Emperor Dong Hua was also destined to undergo tribulation.

Cheng Yu tried to comfort a distraught Fengjiu, telling her that all celestial beings, regardless of their power or rank, eventually faced tribulation and returned to a formless mass, implying that Dong Hua had lived a long life and it was his time. Refusing to believe this, Fengjiu sought out Emperor Dong Hua, embracing him tightly. She tearfully declared that she would live and die with him.

Dong Hua, surprised, gently reminded her that she was the Monarchess of Green Hill and should not behave in such an undignified manner. Fengjiu retorted by mentioning their past as a "married couple," to which Dong Hua simply dismissed it as a "tribulation." Fengjiu denied any relationship with Yuan Zhen, stating Si Ming had forced her into that situation. She firmly stated she would not leave him before he underwent tribulation. Dong Hua, however, surprised her by asking, "Who told you I'm going to comply with tribulation?"
