Xu Xingzhi, an elite assassin, becomes the target of a citywide police manhunt after eliminating a traitor within his organization. Severely wounded and on the run, he is mistakenly identified by detective Lin Jie as her nephew, Xue Wang, who disappeared years ago. Seizing the opportunity, Xu assumes Xue Wang's identity and moves into the police dormitory—the last place anyone would suspect him to hide while recovering.
While playing the role of a gentle and obedient young man, Xu repeatedly reveals subtle inconsistencies that raise suspicion. Meanwhile, Lin Jie is relentlessly pursuing a notorious killer known as "Mask," whose distinctive traits increasingly overlap with Xu's own. Beneath the warmth of their growing bond, a dangerous game of cat and mouse unfolds.
During a critical operation, Xu is forced to reveal his extraordinary combat skills in order to save Lin Jie, exposing the truth he has worked so hard to conceal. In the end, he chooses to perish alongside his greatest enemy, sacrificing himself to end a cycle of violence and uphold justice.
