Following his parents' death, a heartbroken young Lu Sen cried so much that he developed a severe allergic reaction.
At that moment, a girl approached and comforted him, fostering a fondness in Lu Sen's heart for her. Meanwhile, in Lu Sen's memory, Li Jingcheng discovered that Lu Sen's parents had already willed all their assets and the company to Lu Sen. Enraged, believing he had built the company with Lu Cheng, Li Jingcheng conspired to seize control. He discussed destroying evidence of his misappropriation of company funds, expressing his belief that Lu Cheng’s sudden death was "heaven's will."
A young Lu Sen overheard Li Jingcheng's sinister words, realizing Li Jingcheng coveted his family's company. Li Jingcheng then considered adopting Lu Sen to gain control of the company, but his subordinate informed him that Lu Sen's uncle was the only legal guardian, complicating the plan. Li Jingcheng then approached the grieving young Lu Sen, offering him ice cream, feigning care, and encouraging him to see Li Zhan as his younger brother, while Lu Sen perceived him as a demon.
Awakening from his nightmare, Lu Sen found Friday by his side. He realized she had saved him with an injection. He was surprised that Friday wasn't afraid of his monstrous appearance during the allergic reaction, and she reassured him that she would always recognize him. Pleased, Lu Sen praised Friday, calling her "so much better than that dog" and "smarter," promoting her to "cutie."
However, his gratitude quickly turned to exasperation when he discovered many needles in his body, including his back and foot. He attempted to revoke her promotion, but Friday playfully reminded him that it was impolite to go back on his word. She even questioned if his allergy was due to a "first love" or "that girl" she saw, to which Lu Sen angrily dismissed her, ordering her to clean.
Later, Friday, who is actually Yang Shanshan, was seen talking to a cleaning robot, Mr. Dusty, sharing her "cutie level" status. Meanwhile, Kang Li'er, seeing a person in a research institute uniform at Lu Sen's manor, became curious about the secrets hidden there. She ventured into a lab where she found Fu Yang adjusting the robot Friday. She overheard him saying he needed to adjust Friday quickly "before Lu Sen finds out."
Kang Li'er immediately recognized Fu Yang, though he didn't recognize her and told her to leave the private lab. She pressed him about his relationship with the robot, noticing his nervousness and deducing that there was a secret that Lu Sen couldn't know. Kang Li'er confidently declared that she would uncover it.
She also recalled a past lecture by Dr. Fu, where he passionately spoke about humanoid robots being designed for emotional companionship rather than being superficially labeled as "sexual companions." Lu Sen, after calling Dr. Ou regarding his allergy, was informed that his recovery time had shortened, indicating the attack was not as severe, and the doctor would be too busy to visit him for a few days. Feeling restless without Friday, Lu Sen searched for her.
He found her in the garden, happily helping Fu Yang's team with cleaning, and felt a pang of jealousy, remarking that she never smiled like that with him. He chided her for working in the cold and risking her battery, but Friday explained it wasn't cold and they were teaching her new skills. Lu Sen, possessively reminding her that he was her master, tried to warm her hands in his pocket, but Friday, being a robot, rejected the gesture.
He then sent her back to the lab to charge, demanding that Fu Yang ensure Friday was available for six hours of use every day after charging. Upon returning home, Kang Li'er was greeted by her parents, who were eager for her to marry Lu Sen, believing the union would strengthen their companies' positions. Kang Li'er, however, expressed frustration with their constant talk of business and questioned if her happiness or company shares were more important.
Although her father insisted Lu Sen was the ideal partner, Kang Li'er harbored a secret admiration for Fu Yang, having been captivated by his innovative ideas during his lectures years ago. Later, Lu Sen reflected on a message from Kang Li'er about their upcoming meeting.
He thought about the possibility of marrying her, but dismissed it, stating that Kang Li'er was his only true friend, and he couldn't possibly marry her due to his human immunity deficiency symptoms, which meant he would suffer an allergic reaction upon physical contact with another human. He regretted not being able to tell her the truth.
